I just heard the news, you passed away in the night, i feel so empty and ashamed, i wasent even there to hold you like you did for me when i was broken, you took me in the day i was born, you protected me as long as you could, you tought me how to walk and talk, you showed me i was worth it, you where so much stronger that i will ever be, you faced the same hardship of violence, but you did not run away like i did.

Your memories will never go away, i close my eyes and can still hear your voice telling the little me that you loved me and it would all be better one day.

You where my mother, my grand mother, my best friend, i hope the pain that you lived throught is gone and that your soul is finaly rested.

awwww man, so very sorry about your granny. That was a lovely tribute , I bet she wouldn't want you to feel any shame, she spared you from seeing her take her last breath, sounds like the kinda thing a loving lady like her might do for someone she loved. Hang in There, you'll have some very sad days for awhile, again sorry for your loss..

Sorry for your loss.

My grandmother passed away when I was younger.

My dad made me All though high school go to visit her for 2 hours a day three days a week in the nursing home she was in.

I really liked her, but as a teenager I wanted to do other things.

I am eternally grateful for my dad now for having spend time with her, and would give anything to have just one more day with her.

She was a great woman.

I hope your memories of your grandma with be warm and help you through this difficult time.

Never mourn a Death, celebrate a life.

My Gran is nearly 86 and still manages to send me funny emails, sure she types in caps lock but it's admirable she can send an email at all.

Memory is a way of evading death, and that's one of the few truths I know.

I'm sorry, man.

I can only imagine how you feel. My grandmother is one of the people with whom I am the closest, with whom I've talked and shared many things, and I see her all the time, so I know how hard it must be. Mine practically raised me after my mother died. I know how hard it will be when she passes, and she's pushing 90.

It's said that the song "The Day the World Went Away," by NIN was written about the death of Trent's grandmother, if you want to check it out.

Here's a link instead of an embed. YT

I'm sorry.

What a glowing review.

Feeling loss is a part of love.

Feeling guilt or blame is the PTS.

Her reward is having taught you to feel the way she did.

You became like her, so she can live on thru you.

Of all the people in my family, my grandmother understood me best. All these years later, it still hurts me that she's gone.

So, I am more sorry than you know to hear about your loss. It sounds like your grandma was as special as mine was. Heaven may not be big enough for two such epic ladies.

We disagree almost all the time, but I'm sorry for you brother. The love of those who raise us is unlike any other. May she rest in peace. Thoughts are with you.

I'm very sorry to hear that.

I'm not sure what your faith is, but my own tells me that she is at rest, and the wounds from her travails are healed as though they never were.

Again, I'm very sorry. Hurts to lose a parent, or grand-parent.
