Sounds more ominous than it is or at least than I hope it turns out to be. As many of you know I was diagnosed with an aggressive form of lung cancer in February of 2016, I responded well but it came back. I responded well again to a trial but that quickly became unresponsive and a new trial caused a horrible reaction that I'm still trying to overcome. One that has brought me to hospice.

The overall idea is to strengthen my body to handle chemo but so far we seem to be focusing on pain management that hadn't been an issue until very recently. Sadly, though my mind is still in fight mode, I think my body is about done.

I have had many experiences with Hospice and the nurses were Angels, and I thank God for their skill in what can be a hard situation.

I hope you can beat this and your mind can rest in the fact that there are people in Hospice who are genuinely caring and know how to get you to the point that Chemo can be administered.

Sorry that this road needs to be traveled now.

We will all walk it at some time. The features of Hospice can help but also it tells you for sure that the time approaches.

Keep focused on what is coming and know that it is a wonderful miracle way past this life.

You are very strong to discuss it in this forum. That strength is going to help.

God bless.

I'm so sorry to hear that the last trial you were involved in had such an adverse reaction in you. Wishing you nothing but the best of luck moving forward. My wife is a hospice nurse and I've been privy to a lot of information that she has shared and my brother was on hospice last year before succumbing to a glioblastoma that went undiagnosed for too long and the attempt at treatment just made things worse for him. However, I've seen several of my wife's patients actually come off hospice, resume treatment and make a recovery so the odds aren't stacked against you. Especially if you've still got some fight left in you. Don't lose hope just yet Kali, I dont do god but I've definitely seen some miracles in her time working with Hospice. If there's anything I can do or you have any questions or concerns that you can't get a straight answer on please feel free to message me and if I don't know, my wife will. My thoughts are with you and sending all the positivity I have. Keep your head up and don't let things get to you too much and do whatever you can to stay comfortable and in as little pain as possible.

Your not allowed to die Kali74 You have to get better or else.

If you die, I am never talking to you again.

It would be more boring if you aren't here to challenge me.

I have researched a lot about cancer, but giving you a recommendation when you are taking chemo is not possible, most of the natural ways I know to fight cancer are derived from the science of medicine and pharmaceuticals, they are natural ways that some of the meds are based off of to treat it. There could be some dangerous side effects of combining two different chemistries or boosting the same kind of medicine you are using. Natural medicines can also cause people side effects but often contain companion chemistry that makes the side effects less toxic.

Consuming too much antioxident food or supplements while on the chemo drugs can cause them not to work properly, but I am sure your doctor has told you that.

Is it small cell?

I really do not know what to say.

For that, I am sad.

Fight until the end. Do not give up or resign yourself.

This makes me really, really sad.

FIGHT.

Kali requested vino, so I figured some champagne would be in order.

The malt is for me.
