Any genuine announcements from NASA will probably appear there first.

But if it does happen there could be a worldwide shortage of spaghetti as spaghetti trees need constant sunlight. And I hear Australia is planning a national curfew due to the increased risk of drop bear attacks ....

Titles intended to sway an opinion one way or the other is all that propagates this site. OP gave the subject matter in the title and invited you to read it and discuss your opinion, if you were so inclined. If there is a problem, discuss it with the mods and let them handle it. It looks as though you are simply trying to gain stars with your post.

Would be neat for something like this, kinda sad it's fake.

I'm really worried. So worried in fact, I'm going to have to order an extra couple of jumbo packs of luxury quilted soft toilet paper just in case. Maybe another mini-keg of beer, extra bags of cat-kibble and some extra pillows just in case. Maybe a couple of towels as well.

This thread clearly shows a lack of knowledge among some people about astronomical phenomena and the ease by which a panic could be started with bogus data.

I'll wager it would have taken less time for the OP to have checked out the validity of that material on Google than it would have to post it here.
