Saying Science should be questioned explicitly to make Religion seem creditable?
Because Science is already about questioning Science. That's like what exactly it already is.
Another way to put it, is there was a scientific reason people were bled, and Questioning Science is responsible for why they are now not, and this
itself is a process of Science and the Method itself. Science fixes itself with criticism. Religion rejects almost all criticism. The practice itself
was used because it had coincidental results of lowing blood pressure and releasing hypertension. They didn't do it because they're masochists, they
thought it helped people.
Trial and Error is a basic part of Science. So it's observation and questioning.
Religion is a social entrapment. An organization interested in it's own survival. Science is fluid, even if you're not good at Science, you don't need
anything special to be a part of it, and Science doesn't care if you like it or not. -You can do it by yourself. This to me hits home the most. You
cannot practice Religion alone, you need to be socially inclined to. Even if you think you can read the Bible alone, none of that would exist without
Churches, Priests, the Pope, worshipers etc. and constant propaganda. The church tries to create an maintain an image, mostly for it's own benefit
alone. Science does not.
No other organization in the world has done more questionable things than Religion too. But it's pretty clear what horse you back.
