I can see no rational reason to provide these tests so frequently so there has to be a hidden reason. It is obviously kind of a behavioral psychology tool aka subliminal social engineering. It had always the warmongering vibe to it. The message is clear: Stay in a fear, stay alert, the loud, powerful government is watching over you... it's for your safety, you are safe now, obey!
Government's speaker may be louder than mine so when I'm performing my test it has to be longer. Remember I'm testing the psychological effect of my hardware too. Yep, it works. I'm jamming their spam signal. It isn't heard in my close surroundings. After their invasive "test" is over I need to continue mine to deprogram myself from these harmful sounds to pre-test summer-chilled-level. I used to use reggae but it was not refined enough. I've used binaural beats when I found out their speakers have binaural effect too. I'm just not sure if it's accidental or not. This would make it a real conspiracy theory.
Dark psy trance was more effective for jamming but it wasn't my pre-test mood. Now I'm somewhere in the middle with atmospheric D'n'B. The subwoofer bass is very effective and it's not easy to locate the source. Ever tried Schumann gamma?

I've always thought it would be nice if it went viral and become sorta mass-message. Like the civil disobedience fridays sort of.

I don't know about that but around me they are used for severe weather alerts.
We have one less than 100 yards from our backyard and if you are outside when it goes off, it is ear splitting to the point you almost cannot stand it.
Our 3 dogs hate it as well....they howl and carry on every time it goes off on the 1st Saturday of every month at 1PM.
A few times over the years, it has gone off for no apparent reason and when that happens it kinda freaked me out.

It happens each first wednesday in the month in my country. No one has ever seen a real tornado here. Not a single air raid.
They could put a seal on it and test it once a year. It's a psyop I'm telling you.

Yeah instead of the siren they should play REM's ITEOTWAWKI. That would be cool. And chill. And I feel fine...

If I only recorded the binaural frequency for you... can you wait a month?

This is not North Korea. I don't care what the goverenment has to tell me. Not to mention yell at me like this.

Anyone interested in the Soundwars?
Would you appreciate it at least as an apolitical speaker-test-day when enough people joined the idea?
Give your speakers a drink! They are sad and thirsty.

We don't have that in the UK but may I suggest you try three turntables and a substantial pile of vinyl from Detroit?

D n B is nice enough but a bit of Jeff Mills takes my mind off almost everything in my immediate surroundings. In fact I might have to turn off you tube and....actually, I'm listening to the story of Mel's Hole on Coast to Coast right now so I'll do it later. Techno...always techno.

Yeah, This stuff is on di.fm/detroithousentechno. It uses to sound very liberal and dark lol.
When I'm in the mood I like more bpm though. Nothing under 150 BPM or rather 190 BPM can satisfy this urge.
190 like this: Gadgetg - like no one is watching

I'll check it out. I've slowed down with age to be honest.
Seriously, though, I can't stand blaring sirens. Next doors bloody cockerel gives me a heart attack! Spoiled many an afternoon nap.

Hyperacusis or increased hearing sensitivity sucks. It has nothing to do with ears obviously. Ears are less sensitive by age.
They say it could be Lyme disease, silicon deficiency and simple avoidable vitamin deficiencies and caused neurotransmitter imbalance...some herbs could help.

So we have to have them.

Wow, I am shocked that so many places only test once per month! Ours go off every Monday at noon. But then again, this is Tornado Alley. So, I'm glad they test them frequently.

I would think that if you live in a location with zero chance of any sort of sudden weather catastrophe - tornado, hurricane, etc... - then there isn't really a need to test them so often. We actually need and use our sirens probably an average of six times per year, so we really depend on them, especially in spring. Although I have also witnessed a tornado here in November!

Some places, in my nearby down and one I came from many years and 1000 miles away blow a siren, long and loud, every day at noon. Some people complain, but some see it as a comfort knowing that it is there and would be used during an actual emergency that would require to heed the noise and be aware that something was afoot.

To make it a giant cuckoo clock is like crying wolf. Some huge factories still use it to announce the end of a work shift.
There's sure a psychology behind it as it's behind the school bells. How many kids would come on time without their authority?
Is everyone familiar with placebo crosswalks buttons doing nothing but telling you to wait?
A city psychology is only a part of a broader mass manipulation. It is time to expose and fight against this socialism and to vomit it.
