A van plowed into pedestrians on Seven Sisters road in the Finsbury Park area in north London just after 12:20am London Time, in what the police has described a "major incident." There are "a number of casualties being worked on at the scene," London police said in a statement, with many injured according to initial press reports.

The incident happened near the prominent Finsbury Mosque as witnesses claim the driver intentionally struck the victims; a male driver has been taken into police custody. LBC radio adds that there has been a "huge emergency response" and ambulances have been dispatched to help the injured.

I hope none of the injuries are serious.

My thoughts are with all those affected.

Link says page not found.
Also your article quote doesn't say anything about the driver being a member of that mosque and the accident only happened near it. So why is the mosque being mentioned at all?

I am seeing rumors from twitter that this may be a targeted attack on Muslims.

No matter the motive, this violence is tragic.

But it is frightening that things seem to be escalating on all sides.

If this wasn't just some tragic accident, then I have no sympathy. Everyone knew this type of stuff was going to happen, and had no problem letting it happen. This is peanuts compared to the violence that will be coming in the future.

Click the link under the block.

The mosque is being mentioned because that is where the attack occurred.

I assume you are implying it was done to make it seem like Islamic extremism, but my thought is that it is going to be the exact opposite.

Mentioning the controversial mosque seems to be relevant to this story.

Sounds like a false flag so the British ruling class can say "see! Bigotry and intolerance are what created this!"

Also, my sympathy to those that are affected.

Why doesn't the "RANT" forum posts show up when clicking on "RECENT"? Recent is my start page and it's the page I hit refresh on every few minutes, to see threads with the most recent activity.

If it was a "revenge attack" not surprised . People will only take so much before they decide to stand up and fight back. Was only a matter of time .

I thought the revenge attack was the muslim high-rise fire last week.

I don't think a false flag will be necessary.

I have been warning as have many others that as long as officials downplayed Islamic terror and shouted down anyone concerned as racist, they would drive people to extremes.

This is not to say that we shouldn't condemn this type of extremism as hard as any other type.

But it seems that if some of these leaders are trying to ramp up violence on all sides.

For those not familiar, Finsbury Park is a big mosque and there's usually a lot of people congregating in the area.
The Al-Quds march was on through London today and this does look like some kind of revenge attack against the Muslim community in that area.

I don't know I'm afraid.

Just stuck a brief note in rant when I saw the news.

Not usually one to start an OP.
