Science and evidence covers those quite nicely.

I agree that our government needs to keep it's nose out of everyone's business. I think there are exceptions though, like in 3rd world countries with tyrannical dictators. Who else would help those people if they can't help themselves? It would be nice to hand over the "world-policing" to another superpower. Let the UK or Russia take over for a while.

Problem is, like with terrorism, the US government is the biggest supporter of third world dictatorships in the world. And that's half the reason the terrorists exist.
