A week before the 2nd round of the French election, eurosceptic presidential hopeful Marine Le Pen has reminded her supporters that the ”euro is dead” and should be left only for international trade, while France should regain control and reintroduce the Franc.

“We need to control the currency, to adjust it to the economy because today the single currency is a burden,” Le pen said ahead of May 7 French presidential election, stressing that the “euro is dead.”

Russia Today

Gotta say, I really like Le Pen. I'm actually starting to get some faith back lately concerning politicians. I really, really hope, Le Pen is going to win this!

Here in the Netherlands we were asked if we wanted the Euro, years back. Most of us (Pretty much all) didn't, but they still pushed it through anyway... I'm starting to wonder how it went in other European countries... I'm going to look that up right now.

UK told the EU to stick the Euro and it was one of the best things we did.

She stood down as head of her party the National front in order to put all of her concentration into her presidential candidacy.

She is still candidate.

I live here in France.

Yeah, Brexit and all is one of the main reasons I'm starting to get faith back. You guys did a great job there!

@surnamename57: I also like Pacino, Al. Picasso and Pinocchio among others.

@bastion: Wait... what?

@dolukka: 100% agreed. But, I find it very curious, how the elite somehow seems to keep losing control. Unless, it's all going to design. I very much doubt that though.

I recently found on YT a load of news reports from the early-mid 90s that covered the discussion about the Euro.. It is laughable to look at how the scare mongering was so blatant, they where where literally saying if we did not ditch the pound then the UK would be totally bankrupted, all the normal faces where there pounding home the globalist line..

The same absurd BS all be it with a different message is now being spouted around Europe regarding the current enrichment experiment program..

Europe is a f#cking joke and many of it's leaders should be pulled out of office, esp in Germany with Merkle regarding her islamic fetish that has meant the death of copious amounts of German nationals, same in France..

Had I not have been in Paris early last week I would never have believed just how bad the situation is there, it really is turning into a cultural soup ghetto that more resembles a banana republic than a supposed leading European capital city..

It was a wise move. Now people will be voting for her, a women and want she states as opposed to the NF! Its going to be very difficult for her but she's offering a Referendum so who knows!

Go Le Pen...hopefully she wins and our neighbors in France give the EU the finger same as we did in the UK.

To those listing to the media say she has no chance i put this to you...they also said Brexit wouldn't happen and Trump would not become the next President of the USA and we all know how that went

It is low but that's what the media said about BREXIT. So maybe next time after this term.

Lets not kid ourselves, Brexit HAS NOT HAPPENED YET I stated a number of times on here I have a nagging doubt it ever will, until the actual day I just wont be counting chickens..

Cameron stood down which could have derailed the whole thing but May took the raines and everything was on track we now have a f#cking general election and whenever a vote is being undertaken I have very little faith, these previous steps should show just how escaping the Demograptic republic of Eurostan is. Best bet that could come out of it is the liberals are blown out the water with enough damage to last a generation and hopefully we can get the country back on track to at least being respectable..

As posted above just take what MSM is saying and it will be the total opposite, people in France are angry make no bones about it "but" you need to be in a major city or near a port to really feel the negative effects of the enrichment program, a lot of France is untouched (at the moment) and it is here she may struggle to gain votes.

I follow French politics very closely, and first of all, Le Pen is running for President of France against Emmanuel Macron, an ex minster in Holland's government who defected and created his own party. The truly interesting thing that has happened is that France has totally rejected the two party system. Neither the Socialist nor the Center Right 'Répulicaines' are in the running for the Presidency, having been eliminated in the Primary. Le Pen only "stepped down" from her role as President of the Front Nationale so that she could better campaign for the Presidency, which will be decided on May 7, 2017.

I personally believe that Le Pen would be a catastrophe for France, as she and her family have tried to rule it for decades and will keep trying for decades to come, no doubt. However, please note that yesterday she chose her running mate, the man who will be her Prime Minister, Nicolas Dupont-Aignan, who is an also-ran from the primary, who won only 4% of the vote. He is a Gaullist (a follower of the politics of Charles de Gaulle), and Marine Le Pen had to make HUGE compromises to get him to run with her. For example, Dupont-Aignan said in an interview yesterday that France will NOT leave the Euro, and that it will simply be renegotiated.

I would suggest that those of you that are excited about Marine Le Pen as President of France do a lot more research on her family, Le Front Nationale and her father, Jean-Marie Le Pen. You'll soon discover why Le Pen and Le Front Nationale have never been able to achieve any real power in France, which, unlike the US, is a nation of very politically sophisticated people.

Riggghhht! Very politically sophisticated! Much more so than the US. I mean, after a thousand years of authoritarian monarchy, you finally were inspired to fight for a representative government after witnessing an infant nation (America) do it first. And, then you abolished feudalism in 1789...again after like half a millennia of it. Sooooo much more politically sophisticated!

Bro, do you even History?
