They could only use MOAB after the air defenses were completely eliminated, or a path was carved through them. There's only one aircraft that can drop it, and even the Special Operations version would have trouble getting to any useful area to drop it.

All oceans are by now filled with underwater platforms for retaliatory strikes. The majority are Russian and Chinese. They are all ready to go and hit their targets in Europe and the US at the push of a button without the need of an assisting submarine or other vessel.

Bull. You don't leave unmanned platforms underwater ready to attack "at the push of a button". First, they have to have a way to talk to them, which isn't as simple as sending a radio message, unless they're very shallow, or have radio masts extended, which makes them vulnerable to detection by passing ships. Second, they'd risk a sub or ship running into them, and then salvaging them and getting their hands on all kinds of information.
