It's similar to what they did with the XB-70 wings. It works really well actually.

I looked at the XB-70, now there's a plane.

This Iranian bird looks so chunky and short winged.
Be interesting to see it in flight.

Sort of reminds me of that Bird of Prey.

And they are saying it will be a trainer.

It's not a bad looking plane.

Found a video as well... But it looks like a model flying.

There are some good shots of the jet in the hanger.

I have just watched a video of a RC WW2 Horten flying wing. It looked much more authentic than this Iranian airplane demo flight.

One thing that I noticed was the placement of its' air intakes. They are very close to its' chines which may be problematic. This, I think, would interrupt airflow into the intakes during high "alpha" flight.

This video was made for domestic consumption not to be viewed by others than the Iranian public.

LOL this POS again? I hope they have actually made a full size working proto-type instead of the mock up and the model aircraft they flew. Yes they do have jet powered RC aircraft and some design firms use them to test on a small scale.

Also that Video is not new. If you pay attention in the headlines below there is mention of the 49th security conference held in germany. currently we are up to 57 now. So oyu have a idea how old this video is.

Ha yeah.

Recycled propaganda footage.

If they can actually get this thing working then maybe it might be a neat trainer.

But I won't hold my breath either.

That doesn't look setup to use compression lift.

The downward cant didn't contribute as much to compression lift as people think. It did wonders for directional stability though.

Perhaps it's another swarm weapon, a million suicide pilots and boat drivers all trying to attack the US fleet! US initiates Stuxnet 2 and they all drop from the sky.

Maybe they just threw the design into Kerbil and it said it could fly?

It looks like they downloaded the plans from an X-Men fan site... and, not a good one at that.

The top of the fuselage is totally flat, like it was honed from a sheet of premium plywood.

I wouldn't be surprised if this turns out to be a good plane either from what I understand about Iranian engineers they're rather good at their jobs. Didn't they manage to reverse engineer a lot of F14 parts?

It actually looks like a 1/3 scale mock-up. I'm guessing the only way this thing would get airborne is to put a rocket on it or kick it off a cliff.
