I really miss Breaking news.com It was great at filtering everything from tweets to breaking news stories at almost any site.

It even had links to alternative sites like The Freethought project and Raw story .

So has anyone found a close alternative because I have not?

I seem to make do the best I can here on ATS by reading the New feed two or three times a day.
Sometimes I'll find something interesting enough to go to the source.

Besides, you just can't make this stuff up when it comes to our members' comments... the true Gold nuggets of opinion!

Seems it would supply less than "breaking" news.... So it's moved into the realm of hoax a-like sites like "Before it's news" and "Third Phase of the moon"....

Yeah I really miss it too but have not found anything to replace it yet.
I was a big user of the app on my iPad and phone.
I miss hearing the notification sound when there was major breaking news.
