Just now messaging a friend I learned a new term, Catfish.
I discovered the urban dictionary describes it as such:

A catfish is someone who pretends to be someone they're not using Facebook or other social media to create false identities, particularly to pursue deceptive online romances.

I replied that I'm more like a stupid Mackerel attracted to shiny things and will eat pretty much anything. It's honest at least, unlike the Catfish.

So, what fish are you? ...and why?
Shark? Bottom feeder?

...bit of lighthearted chit chat is always a good break from some of the more serious ATS threads I stick my two pence into.

*Edit*
And to any folk I cross swords with in the serious forums, I can chuckle with you about your fishy nature here easily so share your fish lol...it's only ever debate with me, even if we disagree about stuff elsewhere.

Northern freshwater: EsoxLucius Lucius the beautiful sleek pike.

Maybe a rutilus rutilus, a true English majesty.

Tropical freshwater: Symphysidon of all colours. A dished body Cichlidae.

Northern saltwater: Gadus morhua the cod. Comes into our estuaries and seas when the winter sets in. It's why many of us look forward to the winter.

Other seas: Corypahena Hippurus - wow. Just wow.

This thread looks a bit fishy to me but I'll bite. I'd say I'm a flying fish for my ability to leave everyone else reality, if only temporally.. I see Whales and Dolphins can do it too, but are they true fish?

Funny!

I think I would be a porpoise or dolphin or something along those lines.

Swimming all the time in the beautiful ocean.

I imagine that you guessed that is what I would choose.

Maybe a shark?

Even better!

They will also take medium sized reef fish and some of them on open water fish, such as jacks, bonito, mackeral, snapper, grouper and even tuna.

Hahaha!
...a Mackeral doesn't care about sharks, just the shiny thing...crunched in one bite? Meh, the fun chasing the shiny thing far outweighs the fear of the death bite!
