This is gonna be bad. Even if no one gets hurt, the damage alone looks devastating

It seems troublesome that there is not more social media activity coming from that area. How badly would infrastructure need to be damaged for the internet to go down completely there?

Such a shame about the damage . So many ancient buildings there.

Any fatalities? I've not had a chance to read all on it yet

Power outages might be why and sometimes thry just shut things down so it doesn't surge or overload

It seems bad. The mayor, I think it was in Amatrice, says couldn;t contact Civil Service, no power.

The power just went out, that is what us understood from news feeds.

I just keep seeing the same two images going around and I am wondering how those got out and why there aren't more. The cell towers going down would shut down internet for most people's cells though, and power going out would kill the routers.

Welcome. I see a lot of earthquakes on my feed. This one seemed shallow and a populated area. I thought it would be important to post.

Though, I did wish our resident earthquake whisperer were on.

It is very bad, from twitter posts I have put up. I just hope it doesn;t get worse.

ETA: There are now 13 in Central Italy, but they are holding at 3.8

Global Incident Map shows 13, USGS shows 14. They are both fairl close in time and depth.
Though, there is this one

Wednesday August 24 2016, 02:55:39 UTC 37 minutes ago Central Italy 3.5 1.0 CSEM-EMSC Feed Detail

The USGS did not report.
