I just had the "server maintenance" page come up for me anytime I tried to go to any page other than the home page and that page took a long time to load.

I had been browsing through the forums with no issues at all, then all of a sudden no love.

I logged out and seemed to be able to browse the non-member version ok, but when I logged back in I had problems again.

I closed my browser entirely, cleared the cache and cookies and it seems to be working ok now, but pages seem to load very slowly.

Anyone else having similar issue or am I a dummy?

Twice now, for me. Maintenance page with 'too many connections' or maintenance page with 'mysql' error.

I just had that briefly, but it has now cleared. Perhaps they were adjusting something?

Same here. Down for server maintenance. To the left it said too many connections.

yes, I got that.

Some pages are now loading.... myATS does not load.....I get the screen you got.
I have no idea what is happening though....I'm sure someone will be along in due time.

I kept getting the "too many connections," on the lower left.

I suppose it could have indeed been server maintenance, though I would think that such a thing would be done during normally slow traffic times.

That, and I would think the Mods would have made a post letting us know when it was scheduled.

It's just myATS for me at this point but, another day, another DDoS for ATS it seems. I just don't get it. I participate on a wide variety of forums, some far more contentious/controversial than ATS, and I have less problems.

Might be helpful for those still getting the error message:

For Firefox press [CTRL] + [SHIFT] + [R] to force a refresh. I believe this combination also works in Chrome.

For Internet Explorer [CTRL] + [F5]. Might also work for Edge as well.

can't get to account....maintenance and too many connections error

For those in the UK with BT...they have been having outages all week and whilst they've allegedly implemented a work around they haven't fixed the problem yes

I suspect an SQL database failure --- OR --- possible a corrupt file or three
due to a likely Hard Disk failure --- OR ----Network Card/Router problem ---
that just happened here for me a few hours ago --- but of course we
have an incredible custom backup and restore system.

Also the Raid Drives may need to be failed over to other disks
or the user/postings database needs to be failed over to an
uncorrupted version. I'm leery of calling it a DDOS attack since
I USUALLY suspect more a common problem on the DBMS,
hard disk or Network Card/Router side of things.

a DDOS would have a high traffic count surge.

I tried "edit" when I saw that post, and got the same effect.
I offer another explanation; it really is a case of "server maintenance" and general tweaking (which would explain the disabling of "edit"), but nobody will have time to explain what's going on until the job is done.
