The Republican Delegates officially nominated Donald Trump at the RNC Convention.

He went way over the 1237 votes needed.

New York was allowed to cast their 89 votes that put his total over 1237.

Now the real campaigning starts.

Hillary Clinton is expected to secure the Democrat nomination next week.

Let's see if both Parties stick to the issues and minimize the pointless bickering and deflections.

Voters will be watching very closely this election.

It's Official: Trump Wins GOP Presidential Nomination

Donald Trump officially became the Republican Party's presidential nominee on Tuesday after a roll call vote overshadowed by dissent and apathy atypical of what is traditionally a celebration of the party's White House candidate.

Trump easily earned the 1,237 delegates needed to capture the nomination. But sporadic boos could be heard as some states attempted to award delegates to Trump's Republican primary competitors.

Trump's home delegation of New York put him over the top, announced on the convention floor with Trump's children standing nearby.

Trump and Clinton. Great.

It's almost unreal that these are the two who are left. This only proves that money and who you know are the main factors in who wins a presidential election in today's world. The promises and rhetoric they spew is only a side show and we have one of the most popular reality stars winning the GOP nomination.

There it is fox. I hope this thread takes off for the benefit
of the Establishment Reps that really do need to see how
little a difference there was between them and the moderate
Dems.
It was common and confessed he couldn't be bought.
We have for a change a candidate that may be working in the
(at least superficial) best interests of the people. Time will tell...
And I'll be the first to bumpya too... double all good.

Trump and Clinton. Great.

I'm looking forward to however long the gloves come off
when we get two different colored podiums up there.
This could be the All-Star Mud Wrestling championship of
the 21st century (so far.. yawn).

So tell me, if Trump is president does Hillary automatically become Vice or does her candidate face off against Trumps candidate?

It's Trump and Pence VS. Clinton and whoever she picks as her running mate😊

I hope Hillary picks Elizabeth Warren. Bucause if this ship is going down, do it with fire.

So, based upon one public figures assessment of the entire situation, is this formal nomination one step closer to a coup in November?

I CANNOT WAIT FOR THE DEBATES. and I have a prediction of my own: Neither candidate will talk about real fixes for real problems facing America in both the domestic and foreign arenas. Instead, it will be a 5-month long bitch-fest at each other with the crowning achievement being to see who can dig up the best dirt on their opponent.

I think we all want to see them double down on what got them here . I have my popcorn and would like to see it come to a fist fight but I fear Hillary has bigger hands and would think nothing of hitting below the belt , so maybe The Donald would be better off reverting to old style politics and straighten his act out .......Hillary is too big of a target for Donald not to point at ....2 bucks says he calls her a Bi#@% :>)

It's possible that Trump will soon become Hillary Clinton's biggest call of reality.

Seriously? Do you not understand who Trump is and what he does? Pointless bickering, deflections, and name calling is how he got to be the nominee so why would he stop now? It's who he is and what he does. The man has zero substance, just childish school yard bullying.

The VP sweeps in with the President Elect.

Barring any odd circumstances like death or severe illness, or resignation.

There is only one election here in the U.S.

All the Primary elections in all the States and Territories lead up to the main Conventions.
