So a cop followed me home from the gym today...

He pulled in behind me on my way home from the gym and continued closely behind me through three turns and four stop lights. I wasn't speeding, have a current registration and have zero tickets on my record.

I thought about calling the news so they could do an investigation on the department.
Should I seek an apology from the respective police department for their inherent prejudice, what does ATS think?

What are you trying to say? Are you Black? Did he stop you or just follow you? I don't think there is enough info in your post.

You should have proof before you do anything. Maby there was a really good reason, or a bad reason. Or no reason at all /shrug. but proof is important. Get some cam's installed in your car (you should have one or 2 any way tbh).

I don't know if you're being sarcastic, or what. But, If I wasn't doing anything weird, I would find being followed all the home, through all those turns and stop lights, to be unnerving, cop or not. I probably wouldn't have pulled into my driveway, but found some other place close to my home to stop and ask the cop "What's up?".

i know there are a lot of good LEOs out there, but you might have had a brush with one of the bad ones.
good job maintaining your cool. i would not. if a shifty LEO tried to find technicalities to pull me over or make irrational assumptions, or wasnt himself obeying the laws he sworn to uphold, let me say, i dont run away from casualties, i run towards them.

Its called profiling. He was 'running' you, your license plate, your Drivers license any wants and warrants. Depending on time of day and how busy they are, this can take a while (through three turns and four stop lights, maybe).

Yes. Definitely ask them to apologize for driving. I'm sure it'll be forthcoming. And definitely call the news so they can start an investigation as to why police officers are driving around.

Did they force you out of the car, handcuff you and put you in a jail cell because you asked why they pulled you over?

Did they shoot you while you were reaching for your ID?

Did they put you in a choke hold, cutting off your air supply?

Did they taser you?

All they did was follow you? Perfect example of white privilege.
