It's like everyone has their ear muffs on (hands over their ears) and their eyes closed screaming, "la la la la la la" as loud as they can while the world turns to # because of pure ignorance or total corruption. Pick your poison.

It's no secret what the drug war has done to Mexico and many other latin American countries but it's fueling ISIS as much as it's empowering the cartels. But who cares. Because drugs are bad mmmmmkay!!!

High finance: ISIS generates up to $1bn annually from trafficking Afghan heroin

"According to our estimates, IS makes up to $1 billion annually on Afghan heroin trafficked through its territory," he added. The FSKN in November said that the sale of Afghan heroin in Europe could generate upwards of $50 billion for the militants.

Oh hum... so not only are they going to establish worldwide trade routes with other criminal organizations like the Russian and Mexican mafia's they are going to have nearly unlimited funds from one of the worlds most lucrative black markets, drugs. They will also be able to expand their network by getting young disenfranchised Muslims and potential Muslims to join their cause by offering them ways out of poverty by acting as trade mediums for drug exchanges in their local communities. It gives them massive leverage and the ability to expand globally through established criminal networks.

The level of stupid everyone is operating at on this planet is reaching whole new levels.

Bring back the Medieval Times. It would almost be a blessing to go back to swords and shields at least I wouldn't HAVE to put up with it.

Another good reason why I don't think Obama is really bombing ISIS.

Obama doesn't call the shots, you only think he does. Obama's presidency is a charade and he is only a pinata those in power hang from a string to keep attention focused in one area while they rob us blind from behind.

If governments could use money collected from legalized drugs to fund covert / black budget operations they would have been legalized a long time ago. The only thing governments gain from legalizing drugs is accountability for how the revenues collected are spent.

So Obama is the mastermind? Hahaha, that's funny. I suppose you think Bush was the mastermind too since he was president? Bush could barely think his way out of a wet paper bag much less mastermind anything on a world stage.

Obama can't even give a speech without a teleprompter telling him what to say.

What makes you think he has masterminded all that's going on in the world today?

Yes, the drug trade is bad, but the all time King of shady operations is the weapons trade. The sheer volume of cash moved in weapons deals is 8 to 12 times the world drug trade. I' d like to see the war on natural drugs, psychotropic and otherwise, ended, but as long as black ops and scientific black r&d operations need money that is untraceable, the "war on drugs" will continue. It's a cash cow.

Cheers - Dave

If they wanted to, how hard would it be to drop some JDAMS on some poppy fields?? Shows us how much they want to stop the flow of this poison. Seeing the opiates destroy the lives of so many and thinking how easy it would be for the people in charge to at the least slow it down is very frustrating.

They can't destroy the crops because it helps the local farmers generate the income and apparently we need their support.

Every single aspect of the drug war equates to one simple word.... Oppression.

If there is any issues with drugs, it is strictly a healthcare issue. Addiction is an ugly thing and it needs to be met with compassion and understanding.

The illegal drug market is owned and operated by the elite. Onequestion you are spot on in your assessment of how these people use their billions that are untraceable and it is absolutely to fund terrorism, whether it is death squads in Columbia or the Mexican cartel.

One of the reasons we invaded Afghanistan was for the control of the opium, why do you think heroin is found in every single small town across this nation in ample supply since our soldiers began guarding the poppy fields.

It is criminal the way they have filled prisons with people for exploring their own consciousness, while at the same time giving children younger and younger amphetamine cocktails in the form of adderal, ritalin, vivanz, who knows how many others.

Then take a look at the horribly addictive benzo's they throw at everyone, without a word about their addictive nature. This can also be seen in the rapid increase of opiate addiction being spread from our favorite pharmaceuitcal representatives decievingly called MD's!!

Then take a look at how the drug was has been used to create this massive police state that used to be a " conspiracy theory" and is now a brutal reality.

Yes, its getting to the point that this war on drugs, and this mindless prohibition, is ruining our entire world's civilization. The monster (cartels, drug lords, CIA, terrorist groups, street gangs etc) has gotten so large and out of control, that, I wouldn't be surprised if our politicians are actually afraid to legalize, for fear of assassination by the very monster they themselves have created. Just imagine, they would have every one of those groups out for blood, including very possibly their own corrupt government agencies that are involved, like the CIA, DEA, ATF, and god knows who else? Even some of our own presidents have been directly involved, like Clinton and both Bushes.

And look how much media and government collusion seems to be working for the disarmament of the public by allowing or causing atrocities to take place? Imagine the same thing, but with drugs, if talk of legalization began to take place, guess what kind of headlines we would be seeing all over the place involving drugs? Especially involving schools, and children.

The only way it could ever take place, is if an educated public, seeing the examples of other nations, demanded it. And even then it would be a lengthy battle. And a sacrifice, keeping in mind all of the manufactured incidents we would be facing from a desperate multi-headed entity striving to keep their astronomical profits.

It's pretty easy isn't it. Just connect the dots.

Did any one of us see any military burning poppy fields in Afganistain?

When the Fast & Furious ATF/DEA weapons boondoggle disappeared we went from two drug cartels to how many now?

And just a word to the wise. Be very careful what you ask for. These people are in deed preparing to go back to swords and shields, but just not the kind you're thinking of. Think more along the lines of light sabres. And, yes THEY are practicing even now.

Suppose if we were to decriminalize the stuff it may counter or at least retard ISIS from profiting from the heroin trade in the same manner as they do, decriminalize the stuff.
