Twitter accounts belonging to supporters of the Islamic State militant group (ISIS) have been hacked in the wake of the Orlando shooting, with jihadist content replaced with gay pride messages and links to gay pornography.
A hacker affiliated with the hacktivist collective Anonymous, who uses the online moniker WauchulaGhost, first began hijacking pro-ISIS Twitter accounts several months ago. Following the mass shooting at the Pulse gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida, on June 13, the hacker decided to replace ISIS imagery posted to the accounts with rainbow flags and pro-LGBT messages.
“I did it for the lives lost in Orlando,” the hacker tells Newsweek. “Daesh [ISIS] have been spreading and praising the attack, so I thought I would defend those that were lost. The taking of innocent lives will not be tolerated.”
WauchulaGhost does not disclose his real name or exact location, other than to say he is based in the United States and that “# is getting too close to home.”

I'm sure a lot of them actually liked the hijack, secretly of course.
I remember seeing a post a few months back about young muslim men dressing and acting like women for other men as some sort of common cultural ritual. I read a lot of things that are head scratchers, given the hugely anti gay stance of their faith.
Ironically enough, I think it might be the most closeted group of individuals out there. You know what they say, those that mock the loudest.

I can assure you there are just as many gay men there than everywhere else.
I have a friend who is doing very well for himself in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. I won't say what he does but he's very sociable, very well liked and a lot of the time hangs around very wealthy people there and sheiks. He's gay but hides it of course.
He had told my wife and I that he has gotten more action there than he ever has when he lived in Brighton (gay capital of the uk) . He tells us that there were several sheiks among his past partners.
So yeah, gayness has no borders and I'm sure a fair few ISIS guys bat for the other team .

Ohh I don't doubt that at all, and I certainly wasn't implying that homosexuality was unique to any one region or group of people.
If anything, what I am implying, is that it might actually be more prevalent in this group of people. I'm guessing that if an average per capita could be established, that they would represent a higher than average statistic.

Why and how does ISIS have a god damn Twitter account?
Fast forward to the present-day, and the situation seems to have been reversed. Just as Islamic State (Isis) has used captured American artillery against its enemies in Iraq, so it is using the west’s media tools and techniques against it. Isis has proved fluent in YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, internet memes (see: #catsofjihad) and other social media.

When working in Dubai a decade ago, my second room-mate was gay guy from Florida. He had recently completed a 3 year contract in Saudi and said he preferred the gay life there to that of Florida.
You may not be aware but many Arabic heterosexual males are very affectionate with their close male friends in public eg holding hands or arms around each other cuddling. Its a cultural thing. TBH I was quite surprised the first time I saw it in Dubai.
