Hello ats'ers, Im bored so I figured I'd ask; What are your favorite modern day cartoons? Lets say last ten years.

I have two young kids so cartoons are a constant for me. Mostly I just exist around the noise but occasionally one catches me and I get into it with them. The one that has me this month is Iron Man Armored Adventures.

Marvel

I've always been a comic/superhero fan. As a child Spider-Man was my favorite but my son caught on when he was about two and it was full on spiderman for the next three years! Lol. I never looked at him the same. This newer Iron Man is really pretty good though. Doesn't drown out the story with to much crossover and the media is different than the usual.

So what are some of yours and why?

Adventure Time for sure. I watch it more than my kids I think.

as a side note, I rewatched the 1977 animated classic The Hobbit last night. So good . . .so good.

I love Family Guy, but for some reason that was the last mainstream vulgar cartoon i got into. I think the market just got flooded.

Oh wait there was one.....oh...Golam the destroyer i think is what it was called. The little girl reminds me of my daughter.

It's got to be Rick and Morty!

Archer is good, but Rick and Morty is so off-the-wall, and all about sci-fi/alternative sort of stuff.

Heres the couch gag they did for the simpsons - (can be a bit graphic I suppose)

Simpson's sure it's nowhere near as good as it once was but paved the way for adult cartoons in primetime. Its a cultural phenomenon and the earlier episodes are some of the best TV ever made. Rick and Morty and their 30 episodes and family guy with their endless fart jokes and their sophomoric humor can't compare. South Park is also great because it can appeal to both high art and low art comedy.

It's well worth a watch. I believe it started out as a kind of parody of Doc and Marty from Back to the Future.

You've got 2 seasons to watch, and a third on its way soon from what I've read.

(Don't watch if easily offended)

You are my new hero. And I fully apply my 2nd amendment right by 2nd'ing that....or was that not what the founders meant?

Just wanted to add a quickie: I went and saw Dethklok in Milwaukee a few years back and Mastadon opened up for them. I lost a dear friend of mine in the crowd and was worried (because he isn't a "city guy") but after the show while waiting in the parking lot for him to (hopefully) stumble out, he emerged from the building with all of the guys from Mastadon. Drunk as a skunk, he apparently wandered towards the stage with a "I'm more metal than you guys" pitch, they bit, he drank, he sank. They won
