The Be Careful What You Wish For Thread

Here's a game where you get to make and grant wishes but there's a catch.

You can have your wish but there will be dire consequences. Example:

Person A: I wish I could sunbathe on a tropical beach all day.

Person B: Granted but you will be infested with sand fleas.

Person B then makes their wish for person C to fulfil and person C makes their wish and so forth. One response per wish if possible but not to worry if someone gets more. Other than that make as many wishes and grant as many as you like.

With great trepidation I'll start with my wish (better say that I didn't make this game up, I've seen it elsewhere but not here):

I wish tomorrow was warm and sunny.

Granted, but you are in the sun with the warmth that only Death Valley CA can bring. With no water...


I wish that I was also there, and there's a giant Oasis filled with clean drinking water...and it's within walking distance.

I wish I could fix things

I wish I hadn't read this.

Not that i's a bad thread, it's just that I don't want a wish.

Granted, but there happens to be a bottomless chasm between you and that oasis. Technically, it IS within walking distance though. Bet you now wish you had a bridge.

I wish I write next great American novel.

Wish granted.. Badly it will be found in future 400 years from now and the author´s name was totally worn off and couldn´t be read or recovered..

You write the greatest novel of our time. Unfortunately it scares/inspires Americans to close the borders and partake in a one child policy, causing the downfall of the population and a regression into a new dark age where tribalism reigns and humans recede down the food chain.

Granted, but it only occurs because you fall into a time slip and when you get there you realize you are actually one of your 7th century Viking ancestors so you can never return.

Granted .. but your wish brought you in Sauna and a big sweatty guy had too many sauna drinks and was passed out in front of only door out of there.

We do. Too bad some of us were perfectly happy being thoroughly miserable with a small sub-population of us desiring to commit suicide. You are sued by a coalition of the latter two groups who never asked you to wish them health and long life.
