An interesting series of JPEG images sent to me
which I reformatted into a single PDF document.

It outlines a German company's technology to use
GMO Bacteria and metals to catalyze CO2-laced seawater
into large scale quantities of oil and gas at a rate they
say will be 20 MILLION BARRELS A DAY !!!!!!!!!!!

This will cause one HECK of a disruption in
Middle East Oil Production and will absolutely
KILL oil producing states such as Saudi Arabia,
Russia, Venezuala, Mexico, Iraq, Iran, Bahrain,
Canada and others !!!!

YEAH!!! Cheap Oil at $12 a barrel!

Now the USA can FINALLY get out of the
Middle East and leave them to their own devices!

I did a lookup on the company names in US, Canada and
Germany and the rest of the Eurozone and haven't been
able to find anything yet although the news leak says
they haven't registered any domain names yet.

Any chemists and genetics experts
on ATS who can vouch for the process?

This is going to be a not-so-fun time for oil producing countries!
In Alberta and Saskatchewan, Canada this will kill our oil
industry dead in the water!

Interesting side note that oil from plastic
and maybe other compounds via Bacteria
IS NOW POSSIBLE!

If Canada's Economy wasn't crap already, might as well start digging a grave for it now.

But on the other hand, I'm glad to see new technology make it's way into the light

Even if this is true and copious amounts of carbon is a byproduct, then we have much worse things to consider than a hefty barrel price. We need a sustainable clean energy nuclear is the way to go.

We can't afford nuclear now. The cost of construction of nuclear power plant combined with the insurance premiums required to operate such a facility. After Fukushima, those premiums have skyrocketed.

The US navy has a process for doing the same thing dating back to 2012.

They are working on being able to make jet fuel at sea for carrier aircraft.

There are a lot of companies that steal military tech for public use.

once you know it can be done that is half the problem. then using hints from press releases to get a idea how you need a lot fewer guesses to copy the process.

I think using the word clean and nuclear together is a little paradoxical. The messes that have been left around the world are a testimony to this..

There's a scalability issue here. Making oil in the laboratory and producing 20 million barrels a day are significantly different. Let's see it go commercial before we get too excited. Remember Biodiesel? Lot of people went broke over that--including the guy who supplied me with bio for my diesel truck. He lost his house over it.

There was a documentary on Netflix about nuclear reactors. The U.S. Built two different types of reactors . A gentleman said there was no chance of a nuclear meltdown with this certain-type of reactor. So what do we do,we pick the one we are currently using today.I apologize for the non-sourced,stream of consciousness post.

If I was the scientists and company owners
I would DEFINITELY be worried about assassination
attempts from oil and gas interests!

Do ANYONE REALLY THINK that Russia or Saudi Arabia
or Bahrain are going to sit back and let some upstart
produce 20 million barrels a day at $12 a barrel?

They are all DEAD MEAT !!!!
We'll be hearing about a few
unsolved murders in Germany in
the next few months i would say.....

The type of Nuclear Reactor you are talking about is called a
Pebble Bed Reactor (also invented in Germany)....see the

This is very unreal technology. Production of 20 million bbl/day on a floating platform using sunlight and bacteria is completely unrealistic. That volume of oil is about what the US uses every day and would take a floating platform the size of a state, sunlight 24/7, no storms and redundant production systems on board. The price target is just that; a target. It will be one to two orders of magnitude more than $12 and for that reason alone will never be built. The capital costs will be in the hundreds of billions and a floating fuels production facility of any sort would be susceptible to hostile actions, something no country would invest in.

Bottom line: Scam

I'm going to use the math from the Audi Engineers
and based upon what I am seeing where Cyano-Bacteria
is up to 40 micrometers in size and from the way wine
is vinted (also from bacteria) at 6% when the bacteria die off.
Cyano-bacteria would become poisoned by their own excrement
from atmospheric or liquid self-production issues at around 60%

One barrel of oil is 300 pounds so 20 million barrels
is 6 billion pounds at 1,100,000,000 gallons or about
10 supertankers and at 60% bacteria die-off
you would need 16 supertanker-sized platforms
VOLUME-wise to get 10 supertankers a day pull it off!

Bacteria can multiple EXTREMELY FAST 1000x daily
in many cases so it would NOT take much starter
bacteria to make 16 supertankers worth.

I suspect the metal Catalyst is an Iron Oxide
which can be reused infinitely...process-wise
I have NO ISSUE with the science behind it
but volume wise for 20 million barrels a day
that's a lot. Using solar mirrors in a southern
latitude is a no brainer because you only
need maybe 500 to 1500 mirrors to flash
heat BILLIONS of gallons daily ---- That's
maybe three or four ships worth.

So maybe a scam is it NOT....

If you had enough room and you can
buy USED 300 metre BULKER ships for less
than 35 million OR LESS these days so financially
it MIGHT be able to be done if you had
enough investors.

AND if the catalyst is Iron Oxide as I suspect it is,
the process would be EXOTHERMIC producing LOTS
of heat probably powering the final polyaromatic
hydrocarbon cracking for final refinement until
the bacteria finally die off and the next batch
has to be used.

And based upon what I've read in technicals journals
about the similar US Army test fuel system and the system
invented by Audi's engineers, I have absolutely NO PROBLEM
with the science behind it all...They would just have to have
enough floating synthetic oil-processing ships to pull it off!
It would take maybe 20 ships at most to do 20 million barrels a day.

It actually would be sustainable and clean. One of the largest contributors to man made global warming is CO2. This technology consumes CO2 and seawater. Which makes sense since all petrol is mostly hydrocarbons. Carbon and Hydrogen.

The question is whether this technology is viable.
