Well it does appear he will meet the Attorney General on Monday to discuss executive action on gun control.

He said his inability to win Congressional backing for what he called "common sense gun laws" was the greatest frustration of his presidency.

I expect him to be shot and or hung and quartered but I will just say he has some big brass ones to even attempt this in the USA.
So I have a few questions for you guys who this may effect.
Do most Americans agree with some restrictions like he says?.
Can he actually do this? what is stopping the next president just changing whatever he comes up with when he gets in?.
Would a compromise been a better option all around?.

Oh and I'm with many here have guns I would If I lived in the states.
Not here though.

That's really cute, considering that his previous Attorney General (Eric Holder) put guns right in the hands of the cartels with his blessing. That disaster was called Fast and Furious.

There is a movie of the same name. It kind of sounds like the script of a bad movie.

In actuality, he's going to take unilateral action on gun rights or more specifically the 2nd Amendment.

Sandy Hook failed to turn the American people against the 2A. San Bernardino has also failed.

Now its up to the POTUS to further restrict our God given or naturally occurring right of self defense.

Because lets be honest, TPTB had big agendas in mind with Obama.

They took over health care thanks to one of their minions, "Magic Bullet theory" Arlen Specter, changing his Party affiliation and casting the last minute tie-breaking vote.

But they havent been able to stop civilian gun ownership.

Funny how the Swiss Army is calling to arm its population while this dunce is trying to disarm the population.

What are we going to do, wish crime away?

What kind of law can possibly be written that would prevent a person who is not allowed to own a firearm to kill to obtain one, someone willing to die themselves after killing as many defenseless people as possible?

A criminal will never submit to a background check; they get their guns illegally.....
The U.S. government, not the military, has ordered 1.8 million rounds of ammunition.
What is it for?
What are they not telling the American people?

He could do an executive action but it can be overturned by whoever they pick next. As for most Americans being all for it, I would say that's false. Most of the people I know are against further restrictions. Also, he and the people he works for, don't seem to be into compromise. Does that cover it?

Yeah...pretty flat joke. We know it's because they CAN. Who will stop them? Anyone who tries gets "treatment" next once this kind of regime begins.

Well Mr President, I agree that if there is something that Congress and the American people can do to prevent EVEN ONE deadly gun crime, they should.

Problem is, you can't without infringing on our rights in some way/shape/form.

Find the right answer and I'll back you up. But more background checks, limitations and hardships for LEGAL gun owners will not change a darn thing! Either this is the epitome of insanity, or maybe there actually is some scary agenda that I was hoping was just a side effect of tin foil hat wearers...

Obama should have been president of a different country, then he would have done more for the American people.
He tells more lies than Jim Carry did in lier lier. .
He probably has to check if his pants are on fire at least twice a day. .
Always trying to put 10 pounds of $hit in a 5 pound bucket.

Hopefully he starts his crusade in the urban environment.

The homegrown terrorists that perpetrate a large majority of gun crimes are inner city thugs.

America's gun problems begins and ends there.

How does this work?
A “friend” or “family member” (read that as angry neighbor or deranged and embittered ex) notifies the cops.
The cops then ask a judge for a 21-day “temporary restraining order.”
This is important. The people who make the allegation never have to appear in court.
They only need to convince the police to go to a judge who is, no way possible, going to refuse the restraining order.
At the end of that time, the restraining order can be extended for a year after a hearing.
That one year can be repeated indefinitely.
Can you give your weapons to a friend or family member for safe keeping? No.
The police must hold the weapons for the duration of the restraining order.
Oh, yeah, they serve you with a search warrant at the same time so they can “look for firearms.”

You do notice that he doesn't make the people guarding him and his family go unarmed. I wonder why that is.

Hasn't he "brainstormed" about executive action like 100 times now?

I think this is pornography for disarmament advocates. He gets his base off every few weeks by making some new "pledge" to "do something" about gun violence.

And in reality does very little (thankfully). But it sure does get his people greased, doesn't it?
