It's my opinion that these two factors of human existence are the main problem.

These two topics manage to separate us all as a species.

It happens with such an ease that most cannot even see it when it happens right before our very eyes!

I love every single one you reading this post...on a basic level at least.

I do not wish any one of you any harm.

However, when we allow our political ideals into the mix, as well as our religious beliefs....we only screw OURSELVES.

It becomes an US versus THEM scenario.....

No one can ever win a scenario like that...it's god damn impossible.

When will we all come to the same realization and truth?

I only hope that it happens in my lifetime. I hope my own children have learned something from me and they carry it forward to the next generation.

I hate them too.
One day we will be cured.
One day, when we are all one color, speaking one language, kinda worshiping one kinda god/government/god.
One day we will have only one goal, build more spaceships and go on explorations missions.
We will have one common enemy, Klingons or whatever they end up being.
Until then.
Coke or Pepsi?

Religion and politics are both things that require faith because the reality is that they both deal in promises.

Politics is funnier than religion, imho. It's a riot to tweek the more fundamental political people.

I don't understand religion but I'm not against it.

Sounds like you are blaming religion and politics where your true resentment lies in the people who dont agree with you.
Anybody with a different opinion than yours is your enemy.

I hate people like you, those who hate my beliefs or my political affiliations.

I dont really

So, you take away religion and politics (at least our normal western definitions of it) and everything will be all right.

Like China under Mao or the USSR under Stalin. Off to the gulag with you!

Unfortunately it won't happen. As much as I would love to agree, it just won't.

You know why?

Opinions are like assholes, everyone's got one.

Secondly, conscience and fear.

Third.....Pepsi

Sadly, I wish I had the answer.

I know I don't. I'm just fed up.

What can you offer as a solution?

As long as religion teaches that mankind was created to be ruled by, and taken care of by gods, then mankind will look for gods to take care of them and tell them what to do. Since there are no gods around, people will vie to rule, either acting as gods or by their devotion to gods, acting on behalf of their gods' authority.

Religion distracts the people from finding representatives to protect our best interests, instead, the system has the masses seeking saviors. All I hear from politicians is how they're going to save us from the fear that they created, just like the priests preach that religion will save us from the fear they themselves promote.

I don't truly understand either one...

neither one make a whole lot of sense to me.

Faith is a slippery slope in my opinion and I choose to place it wisely.

We are all one species. Our primitive drive to compete for survival reasons (and to even create artificial 'differences' between ourselves, like clubs or nations) is redundant and beneath our current intellectual capability.

Concepts of inclusiveness, acceptance of difference and diversity, win-win situations and cooperation are superior and more compliant with rational thought.

What I offer is that we can be as one, in our differences. Be kinder than necessary because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.
