Standing on my patio facing north I just saw a green fireball trailing sparks moving rapidly north, approx. 15 seconds later a tight grouping of dim amber lights (about 7) retraced the path north to south.

going back outside now to see what I can see.

Ok this is odd. First all the post's about what happened in LA and now this? I can only wonder what other weirdness will happen tonight?

Look for fireballs in the night sky as Taurid meteor swarm peaks

The Taurid meteor shower is peaking over the next couple of weeks. I suppose there will be a UFO thread for every person that sees one...

Thought that too, but that doesn't explain the amber lights.

Most meteors and space junk are yellow/amber when they burn up in the atmosphere. There are on occasion the green, white, etc.

Damn, I was hoping one of these threads would produce a UFO. One we can't identify I mean.

Would a meteor shower produce lights in tight formation?

Probably Taurids, but the set of amber lights, wow.

Just looked at the other threads, since when does a meteor shower need a rocket launch cover story?

The returning group of amber lights moved in what I can only describe as a tight military formation.

I think he meant how many threads there was on the event in LA. And there was actually 7 different threads, only two are still open.

I've seen a green fireball with smaller yellowish balls trailing behind it like baby ducks. It was probably a large chunk of copper ore with little chunks of magnesium breaking off at the tail.
