Jeremy Scahill is the author of "Blackwater: The Rise of the World’s Most Powerful Mercenary Army," a "Dirty Wars: The World Is a Battlefield" published April 23, 2013. The documentary film of the same name, was produced, narrated and co-written by Scahill, and it is now on Netflix.

I watched it for the first time last night.

There is the largely untold, and unknown story behind JSoC
(AKA, "the secret hammer" used by Obama in the dead of night).

If you don't know the history of JSoC then watch this film.
While I did not a little about JSoC, what I didn't know the
source of that story was Jeremy Scahill. Hearing it from
him directly is very instructive. It help me understand
the reason JSoC was "credited" with killing OBL, if that
is what happened (the facts are debatable).

What is clear to me: Without Scahill the existence
of JSoC would still be secret. Perhaps, the fake
raid on OBL would never have happened.

I post this a while back (link)

I have read the book and seen the documentary both should have been explosive on ATS but as usual the real conspiracies get ignored

As it seems this one will also. Scahill single-handedly pushed the rise of mercenary armies on contract with the US government into the public eye. I heard him give and interview prior to Blackwater's release then bought it upon release and could not put it down. Nobody else was after that story at the time.
Problem is though, around here, Scahill's left leaning politics make him an un-credable voice. Sad really.
