Member Rising Against has passed away.

I am very sorry to have to let you all know that Rising Against (Billy) passed away today after battling an illness for some years.

RA was known by many of you here on ATS, he considered us his family. Smart, funny and one of the most kind hearted human beings you could meet in a dark dingy English pub for a pint of beer.
He was one of the best JFK conspiracy theorists I have ever come across, and for new members please go to his profile and dig through his threads if you want to see what a true conspiracy master can do

He was a great contributor as a member and former staff and his thoughts and interests were recorded here in this special place we call a conspiracy forum, but at times like this we know it is a second home for us.

His legacy will go on through his son and as long as his words here remain, that's a pretty amazing thing right?

Rest now my angel. I will miss you always. The love that comes from true friendship never dies.

Wow, this is so sad.

Not sure I ever ran across him but it still sucks to lose one of our own, he will be sorely missed. It's sad reading through his posts, especially his last one.

R.I.P. Brother, you're in a better place now.

That is extremely sad news, he had such knowledge of the JFK conspiracy and wrote some fantastic threads about it. I remember reading a couple, when I first became a member.

He was also very balanced with his views and didn't seem like he had any angst.

RA was a brilliant man. As well as an honest to goodness kind soul. And yes, a conspiracy master on these forums. I enjoyed his threads, and his posts immensely. He will be very sorely missed around here.

This has gutted me Zazz, I conversed with Billy a number of times and his support was key to my continued membership.

I did his avatar too, when he stepped into the creations thread and asked for one.

He was one of the members that drew me to this place. The detail, informed and factual info he produced on JFK was indeed a wonder. I have never come across his like since on that topic. I had quite a few discussions with him on the topic and to have him gone is almost unreal.

I feel a friend has been lost even tho I never met him.

No I was wrong. He has a small baby.

I'm really at a loss for words at the moment. I can't tell you how often I have suggested to my friends to read his articles on JFK. I so enjoyed just talking back and forth with him in pm's as well. Truly a gifted writer and so much more. I'm sure he may be thrilled to now finally maybe know the answer to one of the mysteries that have intrigued him for quite some time.
RIP RA RIP...

Like others, I marveled at his wonderful JFK threads.
Made even more amazing because he was far too young to have lived through the event.

ATS has lost a good man.

Condolences to his friends and family.

One of the only downfalls of this this awesome place is losing a friend like this.

I don't have much more to add other than his presence will be missed.

I noticed he stopped posting. Didn't know him personally, but loved the JFK threads he started. He had a wealth of knowledge on the subject, I Iearned a lot from him.

Will miss that input here. I'm not all sad at others passing, so I'll just say…

My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends and my heart breaks for his small son.

A light was extinguished in RA that will leave many feeling the darkness for some time to come. I wish them peace and strength to get through this loss.

So sorry to hear this, I really liked him too, and also enjoyed his threads. I didn't know he was ill.

I'm so sorry for those close to him as well as the site. His great contribution of threads is one reason I enjoyed being here. Let his memory live on.
