Probably be charged with assault.

I'm pretty sure it's not good to breathe that stuff.
They probably had to clear the whole room.
There are less illogical ways of waking somebody up.
It was kind of funny, though.

Well gotta admit it's an original way to get fired!

Probably be charged with assault.

Also misuse of fire safety equipment, which probably carries a heavier penalty.

Back in the day (I'm not specifying which day) we would get slapped with a yardstick or regular ruler if we were caught doing that. I have also been witness to board erasers being thrown leaving one with chalk all over them. In high school we had a teacher that would take and turn his massive college ring upside down, sneak up to the desk and smack up under it with that huge gold ring.

Not many people fell asleep in class after they witnessed any of the above taking place.

I'm lol'ing watching it myself. Too may kids take their education for granted and too many teachers have given up on them in the process. As long as this kid wasn't harmed/poisoned, I'll bet that's the last time he falls asleep in that class.

Guess class was dismissed, gets hard to breathe when you spray one of those...

I use to fill them up... it's a powder that moves like water.

Not to mention the taste... yech.

Considering it's a school, tampering with fire equipment?

He is a teacher, he knows what he is doing, after all he is the specialist in educating students.

Good on him. His next step should be to ring the parents and tell them to make sure little Johnny gets a proper nights sleep every night.

I applaud the teacher. Anyone been in a class full of teens lately? They're downright rude and disrespectful. ..

Loling

This is a recent comment under the video.

.....they admitted it was staged. The students were challenged to find an idea to be in the newspaper front page in 24h and they succeeded

If this is true I wish I was back at school.
"I was just trying to get on the front page Sir."

I remember when i was at school we had a teacher who was a proper nutter

He eventually got sacked but he would through chairs, i once asked for a ruler and he screamed in my face with a constant barrage of cursing. Didn't really help that i found it hilarious and just could not stop laughing at him which only made him worse.

I kind of felt bad in the end turned out he had serious mental health problems and the school was not supporting him

But when your 15 you don't really think about that, you just want to see how far you can push the woodwork teacher.

I actually feel bad for this teacher, I am sure he didn't go into work that day with the intention to do that to a kid. Those little nupties have probably been pushing him all year and he has just cracked.

That reminds me of when I used to crash out in class. I suffered from horrible constant migraines when I was in school. Stress and all that. Anywho, the meds I took to control them made me basically pass out. I'm glad that the teacher never did that to me.

My husband had a teacher who would throw erasers.

We had a chem teacher who would turn the lab class in the advanced chem section more or less loose with the equipment and the chemical room. Fun times! I narrowly missed having a sodium and water reaction explode all over the back of my neck. That guy was an idiot.

Lol, physical punishment was still legal when I was in school, cane over the hand or the arse depending on the particular sadistic teacher.
I always refused the arse and eyeballed whoever was caning my hand, they hated it, some completely lost their temper and I would get extra lashes than normal.
I remember ridiculing the physical punishment one time when me and another lad were getting caned for fighting each other. We both chuckled in the teachers face that he was using violence to punish our violence, got a few lashes for that one.
...yep, I've always been an opinionated [insert word of choice]

I think slamming a metal ruler on the desk would be sufficient! In fact, it would have worked out better for everyone involved. It begs the question: Should this "teacher" be a teacher at all? If they were a good teacher, then they might be able to make the class interesting enough so the students stay awake!

At the very least, the teacher could have woke the student up and sent the student to the nurse's office, or talked to the student after class about what the problem was that made the student not want to pay attention. I wonder how many teachers in the USA are inadequate today? I've heard THAT is a growing trend.

When I was in 1st grade, we had a teacher who washed a kid's mouth out with soap. He used the word "baboon." Thing was that he was clearly using it as a substitute for curse words. She finally told him that if she heard him use it in her classroom one more time, she'd wash his mouth out with soap. He turned right around and said it, and she hauled his butt clear across the room to the sink and washed his mouth out in front of the entire class.
