ATS, are you sure you are not causing pop up adds?

I ask for a very specific reason.

I am poor, and am on prepaid coverage.

If you guys aren't doing it, then my carrier is about to get hammered in a class action lawsuit.

So come clean now, because theabovenetworks LLC will be asked a couple of questions during litigation.

The only time this happens if on ATS.

But a popup appears, I hit back ATS loads, it appears again.

At least 2 times an hour, two times it loads and ATS loads for no reason, just wasting my finite data plan.

If it is my carrier... They are in some #, because they ate wasting my data to make money for themselves.

Blockbuster is out if business for double dipping.

They can't charge me for data, then waste my data so they can get add money.

I already talked to a probono lawyer about this, it is 100 percent illegal.

I know I am not the only one.

SO Springer, I'm not accusing, I'm asking out of respect before I proceed.

Because if it is you guys, I don't mind supporting ATS.

But if it is my carrier as Springer said, they are in some trouble.

It was explained to me as, I buy 10 feet of carpet at full price, then the store I bought it from just takes 3 feet of it back to sell to someone else.

As also explained, blockbuster charging me a late fee and the renting out that same movie that night.

Double dipping.

If this is not the case, my apologies!!!

Sincerely!

I love ATS!!!

I don't mind supporting it.

But I don't want to be railroaded just because they think they can.

I get pop ups that cover the whole ATS Web page when I load sometimes I have to refresh to get rid of them then they do it again, not sure if we are talking the same thing.
But as far as I am concerned it is absolutely ATS because they only appear there.

I second the pop up thing . I get HUGE popups with now way to exit them , refreshing is the only thing that gets rid of them .

But honestly I am not lazy I don't mind clicking refresh , I do it often on the boards ...

No Big deal .

Don't honestly care, if ATS is the ones raping my data plan....

Then my carrier can have it without me!

ETA-edited to clarify, I don't really care if it is ATS, I love this place!

I hate my carrier already though!

Did you alert staff to your gripe ?

I suffer no such pop up dramas.

Best of luck with your " class action " ...

I installed a little thing called Lightbeam for Netscape a while ago. It tells you what "3rd party" connections are generated by any particular website.

Interesting.

Board only business, only members and staff can see this.

I posted in board only because I didn't want to make ATS look bad if they aren't involved as Springer has already stated.

It happens to me every single time I open a thread to read AND back out.
Sometimes it puts a pop up right on top of the log on link.
FN tired of it.
Regardless who is allowing it....
Now I will never purchase any Nissan, anything from Best Buy, so on and so on.
I considered never using ATS again but I've been visiting for about 10 yrs.
Hard habit to break.

It's one of the reasons I'm about to say sianara to this site....
Spammed of adds on the phone and computer, it's become all about profit and less about information sharing.

It's like the NBS, if you clicked anywhere on the page you were directed straight there, sneaky sneaky ats!

IMO this happens because some of ATS's AD partners slip though the scanning process. AD's are targeted to location, IP and net profile, thus not everybody will get them and the one's who do not will claim its not ATS. It is not ATS, its the ad's ON ATS.

There are settings that will prevent AD's from loading stuff on your computer without permission. Also, never accept cookies from sites (or people) you do not trust.
