The UK has become the first country in the world to allow 3 person babies.
This is going to help many families who have genetic disorders to be able to stop those being passed from mother to baby.
I think this is a great step forward and wow we really are clever arn't we
.

Of course the CoE objected but they object to anything new.

I just started my new website....

For the reasonable price of 4 easy payments of $99.99 you to can get some.

For a small delivery charge, I can provide a live delivery.

Be the first one on your block to have a designer child.

Now please remember... I am not a trained seal that performs on command.

That cost extra...

Lets hope this helps more and more people.

I think this is wrong, BIG TIME!!

I don't mean to across as being callous, but it is all about survival of the fittest surely?

If it takes three people to create a life, that just doesn't equate, sorry, but no.

It is not designer babies....it is just getting rid of the genetic diseases some people can pass on to their kids and maybe getting rid of them once and for all.

It will be, for the rich. They will not only have beautiful children, but intelligent offspring. And the real killer is they will think they really created it.

I'm just awaiting the days of cloning. If WWIII doesn't get you, cloning will.

From a genetic standpoint, some people are simply not meant to pass on their genes due to the process of natural selection.

The idea that EVERYONE should have the RIGHT to pass on their genetic material is an egotistical one.

Whereas I am by no means saying anything about going the other direction and taking steps such as sterilization, I am saying that if a person cannot have a child naturally perhaps they simply shouldn't.

As a species, we have exploded the petri dish and gone beyond what should have happened. Now the container we are facing is a planet with failing resources, no thanks to our own screw-ups.

This is the single most ridiculous thing I have read all day.

Highly doubt it.
The regulations in place will make sure it is only used to cure not to allow you to pick and choose what babies you want.

Money talks my friend. As soon as the knowledge is in place to create Super Humans, the perfect disease free Human Being,
The wealthy will find a way around any moral and ethical objections.

This is a terrible idea...just terrible! Whenerver man tries to play God, he faces backlash in un-forseen consequences. I don't see how this will be any different. They say it's to rid of some genetic illnesses but what if the process creates new ones? What about mutatiions?

This has bad written all over it......

They will not need this law then to do it If they really wanted to do it then.
Have you seen the tv ads to do with the dna testing? checks you for 100 or so conditions and you can "adjust your lifestyle to fit your DNA".
I do think some people will use them to find a decent genetic mate.
I do think this is the way forward in our evolution.
Lets hope we don't cock it up.
