Crappy 80's music made way for the return of Rock. See GNR and the Seattle scene.

I liked quite a few acts from the 80 s music scene who still get a lot of airtime even today , but back then we never listened to 30 year old music

Just an odd additional fact...but...35 years ago (1980)... The northeast was suffering g from a snow drought. It still hadn't snowed in the month of February, and every business was suffering. Snow plowing, ski lifts, tourism, snowmobile sales...etc....and NOW look at it...it's a blizzard up there!!' Just had to throw that out there.....

Sorry. I'm the last of the Boomers. 70's = The Best. Everything else = The Rest. And the 80's really sucked... from that point of view.

Nelson Mandela effect is a very interesting one to read online of people's recollections of events !

My favourite movie from that year has to be total recall

A blue sky on Mars now that is unusual

I had to Google these:

www.imdb.com...

Aside from Goodfella's not a good year.

That said 1990 was the year my son was born so... bonus.

I cringe when i look back to all the 70s glam rock on the television , i left school in 82 and Billy Idol was one that comes to mind from the day

Haha! The greatest thing about 1990 for me was shacking up with a beautiful 17 year old blonde student nurse! How I hated splitting up with her in '97. Early 1990s were a fun time and Star Trek The Next Generation was in full swing production.

What more can a guy ask for than a girl like that and a series like that?

Life is all crappy these days for me. It is one big yawn of repetition of mundane rituals, mean while the Middle East entertains us with gory snuff movies sponsored by the major TV networks. All the fun of the funny farm.

I agree I hated Billy back then BUT look at it now:

Helluva lot better than Beiber.

Business wise, the 80s seemed like a license to steal. Obscene amounts of disposable income with the renewed oil boom and dotcoms.
Tourism strong and a kickass stock mkt until 87. Quit my teaching gig and started down the selfemployed path, retail and service; great times for the guys not afraid to get their hands dirty. amirite?

The 90s continued nicely but I suffered burn out around 97 and almost drank and drugged myself to death in the music business. Bass....

I added some serious notches to the bedpost back in 1990 after living with a older woman for 4 years

I get tired just thinking about it now

OMG...

You just put "rock" and "GNR" in the same paragraph.

I hang my head in shame of my fellow countryman.

The absolute best thing about 1990 is that is when I was spawned upon this earth.

I might be the only one that feels that way, but I'm just saying.
