if you had to guess.
ive wondered for a long time how many i have seen.i finally got the bright idea to register at IMDB and i am adding movies to my watched list. i am at 500 now but i just started.
i am putting my number at a very conservative 7-8 thousand.

i think it is probably double that though.

i have been a movie buff my entire life.
i worked at a couple video stores back before the internet and i got free movies and screeners.

all i do is watch stuff.

it will be impossible to list all i have seen but i am trying.....how about you?

I have not watched a movie in around 5 years now I think, I became so dissapointed with the rehashed stories reboots and cgi based nonsense.

I imagine I have still seen over 1000 though.

A word of warning to anyone concerning IMDB.com, it is highly addictive as there is so much information on there you can loose an evening simply by seeing someone and thinking "what have I seen them in, I'll just have a quick look on imdb and find out"

About 4 hours later the film will be over and your reading Alec Guiness's biography.

As a member of SAG/AFTRA our union card gets us in most movie houses free of charge along with your date. A nice benifit along with a retirement plan, healthcare, and occasionally a nice audition.

We see at least 3 a week.

I think about the same.
Iam a big movie fan and Iam surprised when I find a film I have not seen.
My pal is in the business as a producer (BBC at the moment) and has promised me my big movie break one day
.
There is one type of film I avoid and that is Horror because nothing scares me and they are pretty much all the same....unless it is Japanese Horror
.
The internet has helped me watch a lot and it is great we have the option to click and watch anything.

i keep getting side tracked.

i dont know why i never thought to register and keep track before.

i am on imdb for a couple hours every day...looking through movies. i love to read the trivia. reading the reviews...

they dont have a good system for adding things to your list though. it is taking a while.

it would be nice if when i pull up say meryl streep, next to the titles of the movies she has been in if there was a tab i could click to add to my list.
instead i have to click the actual movie and go to that page to do it.

i have been going through other peoples lists and adding them that way but that is not very efficient either...

i want to see the imdb top 5,000 list but you have to be on imdb pro

horror is one of my least favorite generes.....i have watched a lot of them though.

just you mentioning horror caused me to get a flash of about 100 old titles i have seen that up till now i never thought to add to the list.

im going to try my best to compile an accurate list. it is going to take me a few weeks.

im gonna start doing it with 2 tabs.
gonna have 1 with say meryls page open...all her movies. then type a title in the other page. add it to my list and while on that page, add whatever that is related and just keep doing that.

Does porn count?

10K at least. Growing up during the summer my mom worked part time at a drive in so I got to see the movies for free. I've seen Animal house at least a hundred times alone.

Im ashamed to think of the number of movies (and therefore the hours spent) sat in front of the big screen.

Even working for a few quid an hour id be SOOOO much richer than i am now, and double for the fact movies cost money to see!

5000~

Movie buff here, as well. As for an actual 'body count', I'm in the many thousands (at a guess, and not including documentaries). Horror is my favorite genre, but I've watched many, many movies from all of the genres.

I watch more series and tv shows these days, I am currently watching columbo and often miss important plot points because I'm too busy reading the relavant trivia and goofs in the episode.

Is too many an adequate answer?

My renewed interest in movies can be summed up in three words: Mystery Science Theater. I can't remember how I was made aware of it and even though it's a bit dated it still has me in fits of laughter.

Too many to count.

But… it tired to watch one last night and after ten minutes they went to five minutes of commercials. I turned it off.

Sorry Hollywood. You lost me. Your shallow plots, advertising tripe and political dogma have sunken to new lows. Until you return freedom of expression into the directors hands, I won't be tuning in anymore.
