[SEC2014]Secret Underground Civilizations - November Writing Contest ###RESULTS ANNOUNCED###

Good afternoon members of ATS.

It is that time again....a new writing contest. As per the rules of the prior contest (Pandemic), the winner has chosen the topic of this contest. User AboveBoard has selected the topic of Secret Underground Civilizations. This can be military, oceanic, alien, Drow Elves, or just plain old Morlocks.


Rules Of Entry

The contest will run from Sunday, 11/2/14 to Sunday, 11/30/14 at Midnight. Any submissions after that date will be disqualified. A period of voting after the closing of the contest will also be provided.

5 days of voting.

All T&C's Apply

All entries MUST include [SEC2014]in the title.

All entries must be linked in this thread. You must include [writer] [non-writer] in your submission post within this thread.

There is no minimum or maximum character count.

1 Single Submission Per Member

There will be 3 winners among members who already have "Writer" status. They will be judged separately from all other entries based on stars and flags received.

1st Place -- 5 Applause & next contest theme choice.**
2nd Place -- 3 Applause
3rd Place -- 1 Applause

There will also be 3 winners from the non-writer category who will receive the following:

1st Place -- 3 Applause & Writer Status
2nd Place -- 2 Applause & Writer Status
3rd Place -- 2 Applause

Scoring

Flags will be worth 2 points each.
Stars will be worth 1 point each.

*Stars for subsequent posts (ie. additions to the story) will be worth .5 stars.

Show us what you've got, ATS. That Dulce story that you've had kicking around in the back of your head, or the Hopi Ant People story that you keep meaning to get put to words....we wanna see it!

I hope you like the theme! With all the current threads that relate to this in various ways, it seemed like it might be a good launching point for our collective imaginations.

And lets not forget Unsolved Cases of Mysterious Disappearances, Native Legends from around the world, Area 51, and the alleged "Breakaway Civlization"

So let me get this straight, you have to write and post the thread first wth [SEC2014] in the title, and then post the link to the thread here along woth your writer / non-writer status, and that's your entry?
