CHP: At Least 3 Officers Shot In Sacramento, Placer County Incidents

Never good to see people get shot, even police officers. However, there is a huge problem with a large percentage of police officers who are poorly trained and have the mentality that they are better than average citizens and can treat us like dirt or worse, beat us, torture us and kill us indiscriminately and get away with it. It doesn't surprise me when people get sick of this. All we see in the news is no knock raids, babies getting injured, children being shot in the head, unarmed citizens being shot or shot dozens of times. It has to end.

Most cops think they are above the law and that they are a cut above the average citizen. I've got news for cops. You're no better than the rest of us.

I have family and friends who are law enforcement and their good people. What if it was someone you loved???

What do they say about their fellow officers who are killing innocent people? Do they still back those actions?

Yup so lethal force is going to end up being turned on them in return.

It one reason we dont give our standard policeman guns in the UK cause we know it just escalates things.

Still, the opposing argument is, don't they need guns to fend off attacks, like the axe guy?

Git a grip people does two people that shoot 3 officers then a civilian including 2 car jacking sound like some one standing up for your rights?

Yes we live in a police state but the police still have a job to do and they get there orders from the government!!

The government is what needs to change leave the police out of it unless they are actively hurting you!!

Three deputies and another person have been shot, and it is believed to be the same suspects involved in each. A Sacramento County Sheriff’s deputy was shot in the Arden area, around 10 a.m., a short time later a carjacking victim was shot, then two Placer County Sheriffs deputies were shot around 1 p.m. in Auburn.

Here it seems that lethal force is rarely used on police as what's the point on shooting a unarmed policeman? No one ever escapes a cop killer. May as well just leg it or keep them away with non lethal force or even give up as its just no worth the hassle, you kill a policeman you aint coming out of jail. Soon as a gang or criminal organisation kills a policeman its game over. If you gave the police guns and they are shooting at you then it makes more sense for the criminal to shoot back.

As for random psychos and terrorists or people on the rare occasion that do decide to use guns? Well that's what the armed police are for. We dont send unarmed police to deal with them we have rapid response units with guns for that.

Even then the axe guy I doubt would have been shot, they would likely have tazed him.

So you don't think there's an institutional police problem? Not conspiracy or loony toons here, just with all the police in the news....there has to be a national training and national police culture issue. Then, there is a PR issue. All three of those can and need to be addressed regardless of what political action is taken.

Absolutely, any one here that knows anything about my posting history can confirm this....

Do I think this story is about people fighting for our liberty or justice? NO! Not car jacking innocent people!! 2 car jacking and they shoot one of these victims...GO COPS!!!! in this case!!!!!

From the link above they say the male suspect is hiding in a home

(CNN) -- A California sheriff's deputy was fatally shot in the forehead when he and a partner confronted a motorist parked in a suspicious vehicle in a motel parking lot, Sacramento County Sheriff Scott Jones said Friday.

Deputy Danny Oliver, 47, was a 15-year officer and is survived by a wife and two daughters, the sheriff said.

Earlier they said the woman was in custody but according to this cnn report thats not what there saying.

Believe it or not there are a majority of decent good people in law enforcment, thank God, without them our society would crumble. You're judging them all based on the actions of a few.

It's like judging all Muslims, based on what radical Islamic groups do.

There may come a day when you are glad the police show up.

Now 2 of the three cops shot has died.

The first officer was Sacramento County Deputy Danny Oliver, 47, who with his partner engaged the male and female suspects in a Motel 6 parking lot in Sacramento on Friday morning, said Sacramento County Sheriff Scott Jones.
