Well, looks like the US has expanded its airstrikes beyond Iraq
The word is that no European allies are assisting, but rather 5 Arab countries are.

This is a game changer, the US has been wanting into Syria for a long time.
This upscale in fighting may open the door for a lot more

I'll post some links when the interwebs provide some, this came from my TV
Se we shall see what this will be

Russia is just spouting propaganda. They are not ready for a full on fight. And no way will they use a nuke.
Even with the decimated state of our military, they are way outgunned.

What if Russia steps up the arming and hires private armies?

They have vested interests too.

So the 5 Arab states that are on board with the airstrikes are:

United Arab Emirates
Jordan
Saudi Arabia
Qatar
Bahrain

I understand they have interests, but is Syria really worth losing it all over? Just as we have folks who don't want more war, they do also. Our leader is a wimp. Russia's has lied and suppressed dissidents voices. I see neither one as having the balls to go the distance, at least not right now. I could be wrong. That's just how I read it right now.

Oh yeah
Obama prolly forgot about that
Thankfully isn't there a Chinese destroyer docked in Iran right now, just in case they want someone to have their back.

I reckon it's gonna take more then a Chinese destroyer to make ANYONE let alone Iran feel confident in engaging in modern conventional combat with the inventors of it...

I think Russia's interests are to prevent *ANY* gas pipeline into Europe.

I think they will keep the fighting going as long as possible.

Short term Assad is all like woo whoo take out them rebels!

But in the long term U.S. gets to overthrow Assad, because after they pummel Isis they keep going and they support the ... what are they calling them 'moderate' Islamic Syrian rebels

Where's Bill Oreilys 25K mercenaries when you need them

Ahh but right now, the U.S. isn't on the ground there, so if ya wanted to do a land grab, now would be a great time.

And if you wanted to really test out the U.S. air superiority theory, now is a great time for some anonymous pot shots

Here we go. The way to Iran's heart is through Syria. We even managed to get 5 other Middle East countries to start dropping bombs over there. Text book divide and conquer. I just wonder what will "happen" to drag Iran into this to expand the war over there. Gotta feed the war machine and secure that oil!
