So I have to ask, who didn't see this coming. Especially considering the practically open southern border and the flood of illegals who are being whisked away all over the country by the Feds. Are we now reaping what the Feds have sown?

Doctor: Gov’t ‘Tight-Lipped’ on Respiratory Virus, May be From Illegals

Dr. Jane Orient, Executive Director of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons, reported that the government has been “real tight-lipped” about the mysterious respiratory illness that has struck children in the United States, expressed concern that the illegal immigrant minors from Central America could be the source, and argued that the government should devote more resources to border security to combat the spread of disease.

Orient added “we don’t know where it’s coming from...are there immigrants from Central America, where this disease has allegedly been prevalent before? Should we be [looking at] the virus to see whether it’s like what’s been found in some of these countries that are just sending waves of children across our border and they haven’t been quarantined long enough to make sure they’re not sick?”

The short sightedness and political agendas of this administration will be our undoing. Or do illegals flooding the country have nothing to do with this story. I'm thinking they just might.

While they're looking into the origins of this illness ... I hope they take the time to count the number of children who belong to the politicians (who are doing nothing about the flood of illegals across our borders) ... that have to go to school with them. I'm betting that number is about ... zero.

Absolute zero.

They don't even interact in the society they help oppress.

I called it when the illness first popped up. I could still be wrong but it was damn odd timing IMO. I'm sure that it will continue to be played down regardless though. Like Snarl said... Nobody who matters has to go to school with our children. Either way, the illness seems to be spreading and a lot of the older kids here (high school) are truly worried about it. They've been taught about all of these things that can kill you, and now they are reaching an age where they become a bit more aware of it.

A waiting game and I hope that politics will not play a role in how they intend to diagnose, treat, quarantine, etc. anything that has to deal with this to try and stop it. Whether it came from illegals or not... They need to nail it down and be honest about it in the interim.

Yeah it was the first thing that crossed my mind as well. Considering how these illegals have been bussed and airlifted all over the country we can probably expect more illness.

Also explains why the administration has been so tight lipped about where they sent all those people. Though to be honest I heard a bunch were sent to DC. We can only hope.

It is not surprising seeing how American border security is, but be warned. People moving out and in for tourism. Why do you think Tourism is still open on warring nations? Don't you find this fishy already?

Well we all know the elites don't mingle with the average Americans unless they can't help it. You can bet the farm Obama and his crony's kids would never be put in that situation.

This article coupled with the Executive Order signed by Obama earlier this year which states the government can detain and quarantine anyone showing signs of 'respiratory illness' is really beginning to shake me.

The E.O. specifically contained the words 'respiratory illness' folks. Detained and quarantined. This new E68 virus as they are calling it has been spreading rapidly in my state. Denver has iver 1000 children in the hospital with it currently. The local media acts as if this is a new and mysterious virus with unknown origins. In reality, as this doctor states - the virys us known to central America.

There is proof out there the recent 'immigration crisia' was planned and oushes through. I am talking about the ads for escort jobs and the billboards photographed in central America telling folks to come here wit h your kids specifically.

Ebola has all the sudden been ramped up 10x in the US media. Look at all the things I just spoke of. Combime them; think of the implications folks. It is all about sleight of hand...THIS right here may very well be THE big one folks. The omone we here on ATS have feared for years now. I pray it is not the case - but the recent facts culminating are downright scary if thought about critically.

I know one thing - my kid is on lock down and no jack booted thug is taking him or myseld away for any illness. This winter may be a nasty one..

It is theorized TPTB tried this very thing with swine flu and failed...they may have figured it out this time.

I haven't been this on my toes and aware in a long time - and no it has nothing to do with ISIS...

Sleight if hand..

check where they have been sent and where the most cases have sprung up, I did that a few weeks back and in some instances it correlates

With HIPAA, there is a difficulty with any type of disclosure.

Just sayin'

Where the hell else would a disease that known in Central America be coming from? That's why people that came through Ellis Island where examined by a doctor. To prevent diseases from entering the country. Fortunately, people could not swim across the Atlantic Ocean to come here .

There really needs to be a lot more security on our southern border than there is. Don't get me wrong, I think the Border Patrol is doing an outstanding job but they just don't have enough to work with . With the demise of the Posse Comitatus Act, there is no reason we cannot post our troops on the Mexican border.

That's part of the problem, getting the Feds to fess up where they sent all these "children" seems to be an issue. I know we know where some went but many others seem to have dropped off the radar. Transparency is not part of this equation it appears.

Compare to the countries as well as areas affected in the US. See if correspond to placement of the children in question.

Starting point:

CDC says it's confirmed in 10 states. However, that's only what is shared and confirmed, as many more are in the process of confirming now(such as in Washington State).-

There are several reasons for keeping a tight lid on this. The first is to prevent the chaos and mass distrust that will ensue. The US federal government has to protect those who are innocent, and consider this.

If it is from the mass influx of illegal immigrants, then what would happen, is that it would not be unconcievable that some person decides to go out and target those who are hispanic or appear to be hispanic. They would target both illegale and legal citizens, causing mass confusion. It would be a tragedy in the making. And then the government would have more problems on its hands, from the mass number of lawsuits against it.

People who's first act is to break the laws of a sovereign country are criminals aren't they? Granted the young children don't have a choice where the adults drag them but they should have at least been checked medically so as not to endanger other citizens.

Or are the Illegals being used as a scapegoat for something diabolical?
(I don't doubt for a second that there are plenty of sick illegals who have crossed the border, and some of them could very well be carrying viruses that we don't usually see here)
I need to follow the placement/relocation destinations of the illegals and see if there is a relationship/pattern to the outbreaks...

Wait a minute, there is something not right about this theory.
I live in a border state that has illegal immigrants from Mexico and Central America entering everyday and yet no reported cases here. This doesn't add up.

Almost sounds like a right wing hatchet job to me. Let's scare everyone about the big bad illegal children by tying this disease to them. I'm not buying it.

99% of politicians' kids go to "private" schools. They don't want their kids to have to mingle with us peasants and heathens.
