As a kid the family was doing a road trip through Utah. My dad gets pulled over for speeding. The cop walks up and see's my mom in the passenger seat looking sour. Cop literally says "oh you were driving with your wife in the car. It must be her fault, I understand. You're free to go." And walked back to his car and drove off.

So that's Utah for you.

Well, Mormon culture is what it is. Googling 'mormon feminist excommunicated' shines a better light on the issue.

Not yet. It usually takes a couple years depending on how much documentation is involved.
