As everyone said - totally.

A million smells remind me of past loves, my grandma, childhood...

Sure, there are lots of smells that trigger memories for me. A bit of a twist to my situation - I have neurological issues so I get phantom smells and phantom tastes. So I'm always getting smells out of nowhere that aren't really there and those bring in memories.

Today for example. I was at the dentist office and everything there was supposed to be minty smelling and minty flavored. But instead, I was smelling and tasting bubble gum. And that made me think of 5th grade and the bubbs daddy bubblegum we all used to love (green apple was my favorite).

The scent of fried pork chops cause me to remember the smell of burning human flesh.
I don't eat fried pork chops anymore.
