Okay, so I've been reading a new book called "100 Questions You Never Thought to Ask and Didn't Want the Answers To".
I came to the question on who the Antichrist really is and thought it might blow a few theories. After all, if AC is a Bible guy, the bible should
answer who he is, and it turns out it does.
Most people continue to try and figure out who the Anti Christ/beast is by matching the names of world leaders to the Greek letter system to see if
they add up to 666. Many people’s names will do that. None of them are the Anti Christ.
So lets deduce who this refers to. First, the word “anti” in Greek does not mean against, rather counterfeit. A counterfeit Jesus. In The
Revelation of John, Jesus is described as thus in Ch 1:
13 And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a
golden girdle.
14 His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;
15 And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.
and...
18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
For a human to be a counterfeit of this, could be quite difficult, so where might we find a good candidate.
Lets begin with the words of the man who would best know his counterfeit...Jesus, or Yeshua in Hebrew:
37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
There is a following description of how people are caught unaware by the flood, but if we are to take these words as spoken, we must understand the
big picture of that time. Just before the flood, the world was ruled by a group of malak or angels that had set themselves up as false gods. The worst
of these is blamed for the utter desolation of mankind
Looking to the book of Enoch, we find these words:
- And Azazel taught men to make swords, and knives, and shields, and breastplates...
- Thou seest what Azazel hath done, who hath taught all unrighteousness on earth and revealed the eternal secrets which were (preserved) in heaven,
which men were striving to learn
- And the whole earth has been corrupted through the works that were taught by Azazel: to him ascribe all sin.
- And again the Lord said to Raphael: Bind Azazel hand and foot, and cast him into the darkness: and make an opening in the desert, which is in
Dudael, and cast him therein. And place upon him rough and jagged rocks, and cover him with darkness, and let him abide there for ever, and cover his
face that he may not see light. And on the day of the great judgement he shall be cast into the fire.
Was he forgotten? No. But they have hidden his name so you won’t know.
Lev 16 (his name is replaced where they substituted the word scapegoat)
8 And Aaron shall cast lots upon the two goats; one lot for the Lord, and the other lot for Azazel.
9 And Aaron shall bring the goat upon which the Lord’s lot fell, and offer him for a sin offering.
10 But the goat, on which the lot fell to be for Azazel, shall be presented alive before the Lord, to make an atonement with him, and to let him go
toward Azazel into the wilderness.
Why?
During the year, the sins of the ancient Israelites were daily transferred through the regular sin offerings. Every year, on the Hebrew Day of
Atonement, the High Priest of Israel first sacrificed a bull as a sin offering for his sins. He then took two goats to the door of the tabernacle to
deal with all of the combined sin of the nation of Israel. Two goats were chosen by lot: one to be “The Lord’s Goat”, and the other to be for
“Azazel” which would be driven out into the wilderness. The High Priest confessed the sins of the Israelites to Yahweh and placed them on the head
of the goat for Azazel, who moved them into the wilderness where all the sin would be ascribed to Azazel.
Creator still saw the plight of mankind, their present state as being directly tied to the past actions of Azazel. So much so, that each year, the
blame for the present actions of Israel was transferred to Azazel on an ongoing basis.
Remember Creator’s words in Enoch:
And the whole earth has been corrupted through the works that were taught by Azazel: to him ascribe all sin.
Now from the Revelation of John:
And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the abyss, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name
Apollyon.
And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of
the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.
The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the abyss, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder,
whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.
In the book of Enoch, Azazel, the fallen angel was contained in the abyss until the end when he would be cast into the fire. He is an abomination who
caused the desolation of the Earth. He was the head of the Earth, is not and will be again.
This is why no one can make war with the beast and win, because he’s not human. Remember that angels in the bible are described both as angels and
also men, depending on whether or not they are transfigured. So the idea that he is called a man does not change this.
This is why many of the Earth will follow him, because he and those angels which support him shall give the appearance of the god the Earth has waited
for.
still not convinced?
For those of you looking for a New Testament entry instead:
II Peter 2:4 For if God did not spare sinning angels, but delivered them to chains of darkness thrust down into Tartarus having been kept to
judgment.
II THESSALONIANS 2:6 And you now know the thing [the Abyss] that is holding back [Abaddon], that he may be revealed at the proper time.
7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only the thing [the Abyss] which now restrains [Abaddon] will continue to do so until out of the
midst [of the Abyss] he comes. (literal)
The Greek word translated “restraining” here is katechon. According to Friberg’s Analytical Lexicon to the Greek New Testament, this verb means
“hold back, detain, prevent . . . figuratively restrain, check.”
The phrase “only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way” in the latter half of verse 7 implies that the one restraining
the “man of sin” is a person. However, the Greek text here literally reads “only the thing holding back now will continue until out of the midst
he comes.
So let's hear some thought on this.
