If you could be any other nationality which would you be?

Exactly what the title says! I got discussing this with a few people the other day and I'd be interested to see what others say. I think for the purpose of this discussion that you would live in said country/nationality and be immersed in their culture, not simply I'm such n such, living in so n so.

I'll go 1st. I'm Scottish but if I could be any other nationality I would be American or Italian.

American
because as cultured as I would like to make out that I am, I would like to still live in an English speaking country. I like their sense of national pride. It's cities are so diverse that I would relish the opportunity to be a part of one of them. They do holidays the way holidays should be done!

Italian
Again they have a huge sense of national pride, a real passion for food, and football. Such a scenic country. but i think the main reason is food.

Finland, I love everything I know about that country. It looks so beautiful there too.

I am an American, and I have yet to see holidays done as they are on T.V. I am sure there are some places that go all out, I just have never lived in such a location. I keep getting hit with bad luck no matter where I live when it comes to the 4th of July. Doesn't anyone celebrate with a decent fire works show?

I dont mind anything, but i wont be "too proud" of anything either... that goes down the wrong alley according to history.

The only other nationality that I would want to be is Texan.

I'd be Dutch , they have a liberal open minded attitude and a decent football team.

I'm from Yorkshire why on earth would I wish to be from anywhere else!!. As you will all find out this weekend as the Tour De France starts in Yorkshire.
