Where does it lead us consistently complaining about one thing or another?
Constantly creating divisions, drawing lines over meaningless topics infinite etc.

Personally I believe it will lead to the down fall of our culture . Then a totalitarian faction will take over and force compliance to social norms as dictated by the government.

A HOUSE DIVIDED CAN NOT STAND

That's where it leads us.

It leads us to a less powerful voice against oppressors. It leads us to distraction so those in power can do what they want with little to no repercussions. It leads us to infighting where we dwindle our own numbers instead of making them do it. It leads us to a breakdown of our families and more dependency on the government in the aftermath. It leads us to less allies in times where we may need them more than ever before. It leads us to many ugly things and the sad things is... most of us know this yet we partake in it at times ourselves.

It leads us to self destruction.

"What is the endgame for a society that's constantly offended by everything?"

Collapse.

The petty sensitivities and petty jealousies and nit-picky issues are all "manufactured" by downfall specialists hell bent on totalitarian and authoritarian systems.

All past governments have fallen.

Constant change, never ending reform, and a slowly diminishing amount of sleep.

Humans weren't designed to discuss global issues constantly.

It leads to loss of individuality and humanity within ourselves as we lose our ability to consider our actions for the greater good and only consider ME, ME ME.

We start to believe that we are somehow special in a unique way and that our specialness should be protected at all costs, including the cost of freedom of thought. We forget that we are part of society, a valuable part just as each piece of an engine is different from every other piece and yet the engine cannot work without each different piece. We no longer consider the specialness and uniqueness in others as having value, we no longer see their strengths and their contributions, only their offences of being different.

We lose the ability to share our strengths for the betterment of society and instead use our differences to tear down society, until we reach a point where we no longer know for ourselves what is right and have to rely on self appointed controllers to tell us how to think and behave. We need these controllers because it is unnatural to think this way but if we deliberately supress our own thought ......... well we will have to be told by others how to think.

And being told by others how to think their way is never a good thing.

It leads to either a civil war like African or Asian countries with refugees fleeing or emigrating. You just need to look at the UK to see how equal opportunities led to multiculturalism, then diversity before ending up with white flight.

www.foxnews.com...

Now to avoid situations like this, employers either relocate or just don't bother hiring more staff.

sometimes it's necessary to draw lines, divide & separate things
..most here seem miffed enough to get that

divide & conquer has an ugly but effective stepcousin
i don't know her name but the modus operandi is
pouring all the different colors into one bucket
and just making everything look like crap

I am offended by this thread, expect to hear about this on the MSM detailing the hurt and anguish you have caused me. You can also expect a letter from my lawyer

Seriously though everyone gets their panties in a bunch too easily these days, people just need to take a spoon of cement and harden the # up.

It leads to direction without question. Anytime the power structure (authority) wants to change direction they demonize the necessary parts of society until it follows that direction. Eventually we accept anything the power structure wants. THe old phrase "Question Authority" becomes unnecessary. In essence you follow along because you don't want any problems. At some point you become trained.

This happens subtlety every day through the propaganda box societies sit in front of all day. They shape everything from fashion, public policy, law, religion, to not reporting when something within the power structure fails. A prime example of this would be the demonization of christianity, and the promotion of islam. Our current administration supports the muslim brotherhood, has invited them into the administration fold, allows them access and the ability to shape policy. does the MSM do reporting on this in detail?

Does the MSM cover for, ignore, and put lipstick on the pig of scandal? THe obvious answer is yes, to the point it is blatant. Here on ATS most already know about the muslim brotherhood, but what of the masses? Anyone notice how the MSM thinks and speaks about global warming/climate change as fact? You are considered stupid if you don't go along with the authoritative policy. Have you ever seen something repeated over and over until even you accept what is being said without question? ? So they do a comedy routine on SNL and the comedic character that played Sarah Palin says I can see Russia from my house, the policy makers pick it up and run with it, and now how many people believe it?

How many think Bush is a complete and utter idiot? Compared to Biden he is a rock star genius does the MSM point to the things Biden has said or done and how it reflects on his intelligence? How many times has Charles Rangel, or Harry Reid been re elected? Common sense and logic don't even apply.

So many times we are trained to accept what is being said good or bad without question. Just look at the two most contentious debates here on ATS, climate change and gun control. 30 years ago there wouldn't have been a debate today the mere pointing a finger of a child in the shape of a gun gets them expelled from school. Anyone protest in front of this kids school, called a congressman about how crazy it sounds, no we just sat in front of the tube and said how ridiculous. Our tolerance level has been raised to new levels.

My 2.5 cents, the extra .5 for the amount of typing.

Pretty much what we already have, people will just become lazier and fatter and more unhappy, governments will keep trying to capitalize on what people do somehow until there is nothing left to take and then send them off to war to kill one another....

Lather, rinse and repeat.

This has been going on since the beginning of time, we are just animals which consider ourselves more than animals for some stupid reason, must have something to do with God telling us we are above all else on the planet.

God was a capitalist, God was created by us, god this is getting so old....

You have this backwards,

I am the capitalist, God created me, and I am the one getting old.... I have the evidence right here in a book that levels my TV.

It leads to the liberal dream, otherwise known as hell on earth for any person who wants to live and think freely.

I am offended that they are offended.

Who being offended is more important?

Since it has been going on since the dawn of time the endgame is nothing. At least we stopped burning people who offend us.

I imagine that if we continue on this path getting rid of all elements of culture, history and identity we will end up something like THX1138.
