When I was a kid there were adverts on TV and shown at School about how to cross the road safely but these adverts were aimed at kids below the age of 10, today we have adverts teaching 'adults' to look before they cross the road, how pathetic is that? (Advert above is bit before my time but you get the point, it was for kids!)

You have young adults in their 20s walking out in the road without looking and getting flattened by cars and trucks. I'm a driver and I find that not only do I have to keep my eyes on the road but I have to watch the path too just to make sure I'm ready to stop as some moron just randomly steps into the road without looking as if in a hypnotic trance.

Last year pedestrians accounted for 51% of all fatalities and 37% of all serious injuries on London’s roads. You have young adults dying like flys and its got so bad the government now has a dedicated campaign with posters, flyers, tv and radio adverts to help these people.

So what the hell is happening here, why are young adults so mentally challenged shall we link it to the recent study which found that IQ has dropped in the west by up to 14 points in recent years and that brain size is shrinking? (not joking!).

Id guess it has a lot to do with texting and wearing earbuds 24/7. Major distractions while waltzing around a very busy city. Without the distractions one would have to be profoundly stupid to just wander into traffic.

We have too much technology. It does take brain cells to be able to run a remote control or cell phone app. If you tie up all your intelligence memorizing stuff you don't really need, you can't walk around on the city streets.

This memorization I am speaking of is not the same as a memory. It is a sequence of thought patterns. If the signal is scattered, so is your thinking. Something is wrong with a lot of people, I haven't seen so many forgetful or preoccupied people in all my life as I have seen over the last ten years. Something is effecting people's brain chemistry and proper signal transferring in the head. I know, it's all in my head.

That's silly, i always look both ways. (im a young adult), but i have noticed that to.
Some people do it on purpose, because they know if you hit them then your in some real trouble.

If they are not in a crosswalk there should be very little consequence to a driver if some idiot walks out in the road without looking. It happened to me and a buddy of mine while we were driving, my buddy almost got out and started pummeling him, because he looked straight at us before stepping into the road directly in front of us. Shoulda hit him.

Blah blah blah blah
Yet another frustrated old person calling a different generation "mentally challenged."
It's just baby boomers and old people who are frustrated they can't use a cell phone calling the next generation dumb.

Speaking of which I'm going to make a thread about how "technologically handicapped" old people are.

You may be thinking, 'screw that, I'm not old.'
You are.

As a millennial, here is what we interpret those complaints to sound like:

"STAY OF MY LAWN YOU PUNK KIDS"

or

"Country Kitchen Buffet closes at 6 so we better be there at 4."

Just another bitter elderly person with no way to alleviate stress or frustrations.

Yeah I guess you have had more exposure to junk food, reality tv, and chemical doping then me...lucky you and arnt you the better for it lol

btw I predict that the "millennial" generation will contribute less to Science and Technology then previous generations, the gadgets you are using are products of my generation not yours (product design engineer myself). If you cant manage to cross the road safely by yourself we don't hold out much hope for you in terms of great achievements !

I look forward to seeing this prediction not only proven wrong,
but Im willing to bet that me personally, am more healthy, alert, and intelligent then any millennial you think you've met.
Not only will I continue to cross the road without being struck by a car, but I will also not make worthless predictions that generalize millions of people.

Oh, and by the way, you should research all the facts before forming an opinion.

Leave the millennials be

Millennials may be the smartest generation when it comes to money

More Millennial porn

Also, this last one seems to be aimed specifically at your argument.

8 reasons Mellennials...

Being a millennial born on of after the millennium that gives you a maximum age of 14 so why do you think my post relates to you? I specifically said young adults and with a maximum age of 14 your not even an adult (even by law) let alone a young adult!
