The reason that they believed it was because they (all of us) had been traumatized by the events of 11 September, which not many knew at the time was a complete and utter deception. People think in strange ways when they have been traumatized. Emotion rules and rational processes disappear. They follow greedy leaders, not realizing they are greedy.

Nvm your right. We now have a millitary base smack in the middle east and we do nothing with it. And it causes no threat to anyone. We should just leave the entire region since it has no value whatsoever. You are a genius.

You know you guys might get some mainstream support if you would get out from under the tunnel vision. Don't you know the powers granted to the President, as commander in chief, under the constitution?
American Presidents have unregulated authority as to their use of the United States Military and their orders WILL be carried out regardless of what Congress, the public, or the media think.
What is the big deal about some notes a staffer for the Defense secretary made as ordered? Your whole thread is based on a lie and sensationalism. These notes were never classified as it took me less than a minute to find them in President Bush's library in Crawford.
Try to understand that the media needs 'buzzwords' and 'recently declassified' makes the whole thing sound suspicious-that is how they sell advertising time. These notes don't fall under any classification regulated by the Government as for sensitive information. Every single person at MSNBC knows this is bullcrap-they are just doing their jobs-like every other media outlet does everyday.

Again-These notes don't fall under any classification regulated by the Government as for sensitive information!

Without the buzz phrase- 'recently declassified' The whole story falls flat. Don't you know anything about how the media operates in a free society?

Yes, I know how the media operates in this country. It does not ask questions of the government, it merely acquieses to pronouncements. It takes any story, all the story, like hook, line and sinker.
