Police clash with St George’s Day protesters at central London rally
Far-right supporters among those believed to be attending march on Whitehall, where group ‘violently’ forced way through cordon

Happy St George's day you bigots!

So after months of simply enabling anti semitic nutters to march through London and close down shopping for ordinary people, threatening people with arrest for looking too jewish and other such rubbish, the Met police has kettled a celebratory march for St George, the patron saint of England on this, his saint's day...
They started off briefing against the marchers even before they assembled relying on such leftist scumbags like the guardian to regurgitate their stupidity as if it were fact.

Here is a video showing how it all got too much for one small group and they had to push through the cops to free themselves, reported by the Guardian as a group "violently" forcing their way through police. linky

It really is beyond parody now, it seems everyone is far right if they are white and have even the most fleeting pride in their own saint's day.

How on earth could anyone have a problem with celebrating St. George?
His story has a lot of myth, but it's a great story.
And it's nice for England. Comeon ... Happy ST. Georges Day to you!

"Groups of men wielding flags pushed through lines of police attempting to hold them back in an area near Whitehall before the event, resulting in police on horseback being sent in."

Wielding flags? On St George's Day? "Wielding "? Are they weapons or something now?!!!

What a shocker.

I'm only surprised that the Met didn't confiscate them and replace them with Palestinian ones

It is a farce, though one that makes me angry when I think about it too deeply so I try not to.

The event was addressed by the far-right leader Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, who calls himself Tommy Robinson

So not really just a celebration of St George then.

hold up, he may have latched on to it, but it wasnt about him in anyway, he'd just had the case against him, thrown out by a judge who decided that the met police acted wrongly. So he did what he always does and tagged on to what was already going on.

Violence kicked off before the march was even meant to start.

This wasn't a peaceful celebration.

Who are 'these people'?

Just because someone waves a union flag doesn't make them far right, but its disingenuous to suggest far right groups and football hooligans don't use the flag and faux british nationalism.

He also 'allegedly' died on this day too

There is no writen record of his birth or death, but his birthday/death has always been celebrated on this.... St George's day. I think ols Will contributed much more to this once fair country of ours than Georgie boy did..... and that's coming from a 50/50 Welsh/Scots.

St George is celebrated with the St George's cross, the flag of England, not the Union flag which is that of Britain.

It says a lot when the Met annou8nced hours before that they expected far righgters and football firms...thus tarring everyone who turned up as a trouble maker...they then kettled the people, who had at that point done nothing, riling them up until they bought horses in and then some of them pushed their way out of the kettle.

Yes, I am sure there is a scumbag or two dotted around, one of whom you already mentioned, but to swallow the met police's line about it all being the far right and how the yobbos started it all is the acme of stupidity rather ironic given your name.

The police didn't say it was all far right and hooligans.

They said thete was far right and hooligans in attendance.

Given we have the most famous racist hooligan in the UK in attendance and the violence that occurred looks like they were on the money.
