The 'left coast' is at it again. Well .. is this fair?

A Washington state school allows LGBTQ student groups and Green student groups and a dozen other student clubs, but it won't allow an 'Interfaith Group' student after-hours club that wants people of different faiths to get together to serve the community. The school hasn't said why it isn't allowing the club and requests by the student and the students lawyer for the school to explain it's reasoning have gone unanswered.

This would be an after school club, and interfaith, so no prayers on official school time would be going on.

Either allow them all ... or forbid them all.

Girl 11, barred from starting a faith club but classmates are allowed Pride group

A Washington state school is being accused of violating a 5th grader's First Amendment's religious freedom protections by denying her request to establish an on-campus interfaith prayer club.

An eleven-year-old girl's application to start a prayer group to bring together students of different faith backgrounds to 'serve their community' was rejected by Creekside Elementary School in Sammamish, Washington. However, Creekside permits over a dozen other 'non-religious clubs' to meet including a Pride Club, which is a 'safe space' for educating students and staff on 'LGBTQIA+ history and people,' according to the school's website.

Principal Amy Allison also allows a Green Team, focused on making the school 'more sustainable,' Marimba Club, Chess Club and Student Council among other secular groups.

'Denying the formation of a religious student club while allowing other clubs violates the Constitution,' Kayla Toney, associate counsel at First Liberty Institute, told DailyMail.com.

There's only room for one religion in US schools.

And that's the religion of the Rainbow Reich.

if you keep church and state separate your bound to get a woketarded country.

Who owns the school? Who's children are being taught there? What would happen to the school's funding if you took children out of that school?

Personally, if I had children there, I'd start a homeschooling club and meet at a local church building or library for classes. They can't teach kids who aren't enrolled in their school and if the enrollment is low enough, the school system fails. Otherwise, I'd wager the parents don't stand a chance to change anything at a school board or PTA meeting or other normal channels in the current system.

I would say take them both out to be even, but this school needs God.
11 year olds do not need to be celebrating anything sexual, but of course the perverted think it’s okay.

Organized religion is a plaque on humanity, it has no place in schools, government, or public. Keep it in the bedroom or in your tax shelters you call churches.

Would rather 'faith' groups or 'Spiritual' groups than the LGBTQ group

Same exact thing could be said about the LGBTQ cult.

What does a Pride club have to do with religion?

Every time this comes up — it’s:

“But they have a Pride club”

Why can't the children have an interfaith club that meets after school and that does community service? What exactly is wrong with that?

And yeah ... the little kiddies can have a pride club and a green club and every other club ... but an 'interfaith community service club' is denied? Explain how that 'interfaith community service club' should be denied.

I’ve been on both sides of this. I once was pro Christianity.

I’m now strongly pro separation of church and state.

However, any school allowing a religious club must allow ALL beliefs.

Does this interfaith club include Muslims, Satanists, etc?

But again why is a Pride club always the argument to allow a religious club?

It's not a religious club. It's an interfaith public service club. Nothing about public prayers or teaching faiths or anything like that. People of ANY faith who want to do public service come together to do so.

Seriously? The school allows pride clubs and green clubs and every other club ... why can't that be pointed at to show that diverse clubs are allowed and that an 'interfaith public service club' should be as well.

They both are about pride.
Those who are proud of their faith aren’t allowed over those who are proud of their sexual preference, so one pride is allowed but the other is not.

Do you think when someone discovers they are of the LGBT+ group they give up their God?

"Hey! I'm gay -- gotta give up God now". Really?

One is a belief -- the other is not.

YES! It is a religious group.

And you're telling me Satanists are welcome.

It says 'interfaith community service group'.
Sounds like anyone who has a faith that motivates
them to community service can be part of the
after school group. Do Satanists have
community service as part of their religious beliefs?
I have no idea.

Edited to add ... Learn Religions ... Satanism
I googled and found this link.
Just read through this. Not seeing anything about 'community service'.
It's all self centered and self gratification.

Guess she should have left FAITH out of it and just created a community service club.

Estimations show there are more than 200 Christian denominations in the U.S. and a staggering 45,000 globally, according to the Center for the Study of Global Christianity.

Am I aware there are many branches of Satanism? Yes, I am.

Nothing.
But what does a Pride Club have to do with educating 11 year old kids?

What's wrong with an interfaith club?
Teaching children to respect other religions and work together, how evil!
But teaching them to respect sexuality at an age where they know more or less sod all about sex, that's ok?

I'm saying that as someone who is very much Agnostic.

And then the school administrators or whoever is responsible are refusing to explain their decision?
How arrogant is that?

Just more sanctimonious bollocks from self-righteous, interfering, wokerati who should be concentrating on educating children and not indoctrinating them.

Why? Because you are an atheist and don't like people having faith?

By your measure, maybe the LGBTQ Pride club should have left the LGBTQ part out and just had a Pride club instead that included straight people.

This little girl wants an inter-faith community service club. That's wonderful. People of different faiths coming together, getting along and getting to know each other, to help others in the community. That's a good thing. And yet you are choking on it. Kinda strange.

I didn't ask if you were aware that there are branches of Satanism.
YOU asked if Satanists could be part of the interfaith community service club.
I posted info showing that 'community service' isn't generally a part of Satanism.
It's all focused on the self and self gratification and indulgence.
