Is that special cacti soil? If not, you want to be really careful with watering the cactus!

I'd love to grow a perennial basil, but I never managed so far... It should be possible, but no luck

Nope just potting soil as far as I'm aware.

Ive got scores of Cacti small and large, which seem to be doing fine.

Never heard of cacti soil, would it be sandy, or what?

That big one spreading out at all angles is 31 years old which I just realised. LoL

I almost did it this year...

I've managed to winter some chilli plants and cape gooseberries though and I've got about 15 chilli/pepper plants sleeping, hopefully sleeping anyways.

Cactus soil... Andy you'll save a small fortune mixing your own. About 3/3/2 of gravel/course sand, soil, perlite/pumice.

I used aquarium gravel and coco coir with perlite mixed in.

Each pic I upload even goes trough a metadata remover...

Kind of became a habit posting on forums about activities that aren't legal around my neck of the woods...

Lot's of plant pics I uploaded

They can even get a fingerprint off of high res pics...

Remember that avacadi are very avaricious and tend to observe avuncular relationships while following Avagadro’s tenets. Be particularly adventurous especially now during Advent.

images need to be downscaled to upload?

First year growing things indoors personally, I got carried away... That's the "quiet" window lol

I tend to grow too much basil but the bees don't mind especially if I don't prune, apparently it'll repel a lot of pests too and it smells awesome on the breeze. That's my excuse for growing 4-5 varieties this year anyways.

Maybe I'll get sick of it

I'm not a horticulturist but a grower. I noticed a slight nitrogen deficiency with the avocado trees' yellow leaves.
Might I suggest a nutrient, MaxiGro 10-5-14. Like Superthrive, it's magic.

Cheers for the suggestion.

I will indeed try something like Superthrive when I repot the plant.

What if the problem is nutrient lockout due to ph levels ?
That's grower talk and means that sometimes the medium, or the water have the wrong PH for the plants to absorb certain nutrients. Then plants display signs of nutrient deficiencies, and people start adding nutrients and wonder why the plant gets worse.

Growing in earth gives you some buffer but tapwater always has a ph and usually always comes out the same, if that's not ideal and not changed before watering, your earth's PH will change too, and affect the nutrient uptake.

She does look hungry, so try any fertilizer you deem fit, but go with half the suggested quantity. If you don't see any improvement in the following week, you want to look for other issues before adding mire. You can kill a plant with fertilizers.
In the unlikely scenario where she starts making fruits, you want to think about what you feed her, because you'll end up feeding it to yourself...

Don't do what I did with all my cactus plants Andy , I had them outside enjoying the sun last year and took them inside when it got cold , then the fleas started to emerge from the soil

.

Finally figured out where they were coming from but it was murder

All good down your end?

The plants are fine but it was murder figuring out where they were coming from at the time as I put them inside the bath and could not work out where they were originating from.

I have really sensitive skin when it comes to fleas or dust mites and itch like mad at the thought of them and a flea bite stays on my skin for years , I was going crazy spraying the house and washing all the bedding etc and showering me and the dog repeatedly , it cost me a small fortune in light and gas bills

As a wise man once told me if you can't eat them they are weeds
