I know I can’t ever afford one of the most beautiful cars ever made.

rmsothebys.com... m_medium=auctionlisting&utm_campaign=GT23_SothebysAuctionDay

Though it is a stunning piece of automotive art.

Estimated price is over $60 million US dollars.

Even old bangers are getting up in price, I don’t knock the price these have always been sought after.

One of the most beautiful modern Ferraris, imho, is the Monza SP1 or SP2 (in the image)...

Nope, that was a different beauty... the Ferrari 250 GT California (1961).

I have a Ferrari dealer 1/2 mile from where I live. I drove there to take a photo for you!

This is kind of a big deal because I live near Detroit. What is here? GM, Ford and Chrysler! Many people here work for the big 3!

What else does the Ferrari dealership do here? They repair crashed Teslas! Tonight when I drove there to take this photo for you I saw more Teslas than Ferraris! Lol

Oooh, thanks JJ, that was very kind of you!

The trip was worth it!! I believe in the bottom right we see a 488 Spider, which is very nice indeed…, but the cherry up top, literally, is unmistakable, a 512 BBi ‘Berlinetta Boxer’ from circa 1980s. It was an important milestone because it was the first Ferrari with a mid-mounted engine. Also, the engine was a flat 12 cylinder, hence the name ‘Boxer’. The benefit was a lower center of gravity, although, I think it was a few HP down on the traditional V12. It was the test bed for the Testarossa that followed a few years later.

As for Ferrari dealerships, when I lived in Vancouver, I bought a second-hand Alfa Romeo 164 from one. As there weren’t many experts in Alfas, I would have her serviced at the Ferrari place. I swear, the service area and bays were cleaner than most hospitals! As I’ve been a Ferrari devotee since I could walk, each visit there was almost a religious experience for me.
I’m a bit shocked that they repair Teslas… I feel they would be almost alien in that setting, LOL.

Thanks again for taking those photos!

Thank you for letting us know what cars are in the photo. I sure do not know. I had a Subaru WRX last yea with a Boxer engine. That Ferrari dealership changed the oil for me and you are right. It was spotless in the bay area.

You are right it was cleaner than a hospital. The upper car that you named is changed each month. The dealership has two sides. I will go photo the other side later today.

Thank you for this learning experience!

My pleasure, JJ.

That's interesting and makes sense to keep people returning regularly to see what the next car will be. I think they probably showcase the older cars... a nostalgia trip for aficionados, so to speak.
