How much money would you allow the rich to keep?

How much money should the rich be allowed to keep while not contributing their share, while they make use of all of what society offers them?

It might be the soaring high cost of rental units, some are going up 10 to 20 percent these days. Is it once again greed within capitalism?

We don’t want or need your communism , that’s why you’re here . It makes sense now . You are full on for a one world totalitarian government. It didn’t work for China or Russia or Italy or Germany . You would of been very high up in those governments , do you get what I’m saying about you ? Do you see what you embody in your life ? Is what you’re getting worth it ?

You look ignorant whenever you post something. I'll help you:

Communism is an ideology that bases itself on the belief that the means of production in a society should belong to the state. Through central ownership, it aims for a classless society with economic equality between individuals. The history of communism began in the second half of the nineteenth century in Europe.

You are a communist .

Of course I am not, ignorant reply.

Everything you post is exactly what a socialist , Marxist , fascist communist would say . It’s the 100 percent truth . Does anyone think she is not ? Let me know I’ll wait

Everything I post is to reiterate that the existing economy, trickle down, has never and will never work for the middle and lower classes and if you or anyone else here think capitalism is the only way to go, then I have other descriptive words I can use and it won't be geared towards political ideologies. Every political ideology has its problems and none of them work, so what is needed is a new way of doing things and I think Biden's ideology; from the middle out and from the bottom up, and taxing the very wealthy corporations/elite is the way to go.

And by the way, stay on topic, you are getting annoying with your going after the player and not the ball.

Biden is a fascist just like you . You like how Biden is doing it but Biden has sold his soul to China and the swamp who you are championing every minute . Your mask has been taken off and you’ve been called out for what you are . I’d be pissed too I’d I were you

So... do you think they just arbitrarily all decide to raise rates at the same time just out of 'greed'?

If they are, maybe it is to try to recoup some of their losses from being forced at gunpoint to allow people to stay in their rental homes rent free for years.

But, the more likely reason is just due to inflation. You know, from the TRILLIONS in freebie money the government's been tossing around the last couple of years?

Whatever Biden is, he seems to be the only one who is trying something different. Let's wait and see what transpires before making assumptions. Can you do that?

I was listening to an economist speak on the news and he was saying something to the effect that if these small businesses are hanging on by a wing and a prayer, then it's not good business sense for them to keep going on that way.

Yes, the ecommienist you were listening to is probably all excited about what is happening too.

People like him (and his listeners) never stop to ask the question... WHY are they only barely hanging on by a thread?

Poor companies don’t.

Wealthy companies don't pair their fair share of tax.

Wealthy companies don't pay living wages.

So you want government to control the means of production through high taxes.

Who cares about living wages!

It’s up to the individual to determine that!

Paying one's fair share seems reasonable to me, does it not to you? As for production, I don't know what you are referring.

He was not excited simply stating facts that are evident to him. WHY are they living on a wing and a prayer, could be many reasons why, most likely because of the pandemic, the heralding in of remote work (which BTW people want to keep), rising inflation/interest rates, or just bad business sense/planning from the get go. Each case needs to be looked at then analyzed for cause of failure.

I think I made it clear that I agree with taxing the extreme wealthy who do not pay their fair share. Simple enough to understand.

Correct and when rents continue to rise to the point that it is now 50% of one's paycheck, then that individual needs to bring it back down to what financial planners estimate, that being no more than 30%.

Chicago is a perfect example of leftist policies in action.

They now want state-run stores.

Nothing happens by accident.

^^ THAT.

Rampant crime due to 'soft on crime' leftist policies coupled with smash and grab mega shoplifting sprees by crowds of people ... stores go out of business and the city erodes further. Now Chicago, one of the worst run cities in the country, wants 'state run stores' for 'food equity'. Instead of going after crime and criminals, they resort to communism and keep their failed soft on crime policies in place. SHEER STUPIDITY OR MARXISM. I say BOTH.

ETA .. the grocery stores here in my city - Wilmington Delaware - are so hit hard by brazen shoplifters that the cashiers and store workers are told not to try to stop them because they have been assaulted (shot, stabbed, beaten) when trying to do so. Theft is considered a way of life for the criminals.

How do you think government works, taking your money, corporation money...except the elite are spared yet they enjoy all of what society has to offer...that society that the 99% pay for and create.

There was a global pandemic and the entire world shut down... major deflationary pressure like that is just as devastating if not worse within the systems we have in place.

I wonder if the solution is to start your business in your own home and get tax credits from the government, such as how some catering companies operate.

Great idea - except the commiefied local and State governments have made it extremely diffivult - and even illegal in most cases - to run a business out of your home.

I recall many decades ago a woman would come into our offices with a basketful of home baked goods to sell and not only was she allowed access into our offices, but she sold quite a few. Although now that I think about it, maybe she knew somebody and that's how she got her foot in the door.

She cannot do that today - thanks to heavy government regulations some people here are always pushing.

Governments needs to breathe some life back into small entrepreneur endeavors and using one's existing living space could be the key to business success vs. failure. Just a thought.

Great - by all means, please push your friends who have done everything possible to squash the little guy to reverse their polices. I won't hold my breath.
