I watched in awe as he played, and remember saying to myself the equivalent of "This is just next-level!" back before that was even a saying. Nothing like remembering how old I am when I have to say goodbye to one of the greats of my time.

I'm just a little too young to remember Pelé playing Maxmars.

Not by much though.

The first real World Cup i can remember would be Mexico 86 where the likes of Maradona was the cock of the walk.

Another fellow that would be in the top 5 by my guestimation.

Years to come Pele will be remembered as the 'gold standard'of top soccer players.

Lots of players will be compared to him, but will not be compared to them.
