Since when do "retired" people get escorted off the property. Isn't there usually a going away party, you know some pizza and hot dogs at the very least?

The corporation I worked for always escorted anyone on their final day.

Retired/Fired/Quit

I've never seen or heard of this anywhere EVER. Fired or quit, yes. But retired, LOL, as Brandon would say "come on man".

Well that's great but it doesn't change the fact that his allegedly what happened.

It also doesn't change the fact that it has happened to me when leaving the CRM world, when leaving healthcare and most applicable the defense world.

I know you claim to be all about evidence and checking your bias at the door, but does anyone else see a problem with this sentence?

I used allegedly there because literally everything we discuss here is alleged to happen unless one of us was clearly and verifiably involved in whatever incident is being discussed.

Multiple media sources talk about the being walked out as standard practice upon retirement in the FBI vs TGPothers which actively chose to leave both the retired and being escorted out as standard practice. Both of those change the tenor of the narrative around that story so I would guess it is why they were left out.

Timothy Thibault, an FBI agent accused of political bias over his role in the Hunter Biden laptop investigation, retired from his job on Friday.

The former Assistant Special Agent in Charge was escorted out of his Washington D.C. office, as is standard practice, according to Fox News.

www.newsweek.com...

Timothy Thibault, who worked in the FBI's Washington field office as assistant special agent in charge, retired voluntarily from the FBI last week, according to a statement from Morrison & Foerster, the law firm that's representing him. The statement said that Thibault said he informed his supervisors that he intended to retire roughly a month ago, following a 30-year FBI career.

www.cnn.com...

FBI agent Timothy Thibaultā€”who was embroiled in criticism from Republican lawmakers accusing him of political biasā€”voluntarily retired on August 26th, his legal counsel confirmed to TIME, and was not in a supervisory role in the Hunter Biden investigation at the center of the controversy...

... Timothy Thibault was an Assistant Special Agent in Charge of the FBIā€™s Washington Field Office, which covers Washington, D.C. and northern Virginia. A statement from Thibaultā€™s legal counsel stated that he was ā€œeligible for retirementā€ and had informed his supervisors roughly a month ago about his intentions to retire.

Thibault was ā€œnot fired, not forced to retire, and not asked to retire,ā€ the statement said.

Being escorted out seems much less important than retiring early and now taking on legal counsel.

He was forced or coerced to retire in my estimation.

That still doesn't change the fact that an "allegedly" is not a fact.

Everything I'm seeing says he's retirement age. Also I think anyone would secure legal representation if a sitting Senator started making serious accusations about them and sending official letters to their boss essentially asking for their head on a pike.

Ive heard 25 and now 30 years. So i dunno. The difference between the two matters and doesnt the FBI have their own legal team for personel?

The following is taken directly from the DOJ fact sheet on FBI Job Benefits.

. Special Agents can retire at age 50 with 20 years of service and at any age with 25 years of service.

I stand corrected. 30 and out isnt the case anymore.

So years active, isnt a big deal even. Regardless, I still stand by my assertion that he was made to retire. Otherwise the recent legal counsel doesnt make sense.

It would appear that there is some blame shifting afoot.

Or is it simply taking appropriate actions?

It's all political theater even the trolling. Distract while re-enforcing their power and moveing their pieces. The tactics are gettimg worse fast and actors can act for a long time if need be especially when the money is right. All the moles, ci's, spying, Rinos, leaks, and whistleblowers. Wolf in sheeps clothing is a biblical tactic. The Democrats are great at it with many hard examples. People on both sides need to realize so is our enemies. They would prefer us to eat each other alive.

The OP used New York Post as a source also, which some replies
in the thread seem to ignore. However, with all of the replies
complaining at GWP, they are ignoring the facts.

Not too surprising that the only thread on this topic was
attacked. Recall that the FBI was already found operating
with political bias in the IG report.

Said agent is now being investigated for his political
bias, which was very apparent in social media posts.

www.cnn.com...

It is beyond me why anyone would feel a need to defend
this type of reprehensible behavior.

If the retired agent is guilty then he needs to face the consequences, hell I am of the belief that people in positions of power that violate the law actually need to face stiffer consequences.

That being said , if you think the way TGP reported the story or really reports any story isn't biased then I am not sure what to tell you. Saying someone was escorted from the building without mentioning that being escorted from the building is common practice then that is a big dissentious .
