Louisiana teacher admits giving kids cupcakes laced with husband’s sperm

A sick Louisiana teacher has pleaded guilty to giving her students cupcakes laced with her husband’s sperm.

Cynthia Perkins, 36, admitted to a slew of disturbing sex crimes, including child pornography, second-degree rape and mingling of harmful substances, when she took a plea deal in Livingston on Monday.

The teacher and her now-ex-husband, Dennis Perkins, were arrested in 2019 on more than 150 sex crime-related charges — including sexually abusing a child together.

Cynthia was also hit with the harmful substance charge after she put Dennis’ sperm into cupcakes that she gave to students at Livingston’s Westside Junior High School, authorities said.

What is the MATTER with people? Are standards so low there is no morality or integrity in the educators of our children? This really is a final straw of the confidence not only in teachers but the education system as a whole. Who is hiring these people and why? They seriously need psych evaluations before they hire teachers and LEOs, every last one of them. Although this crime was initially exposed in 2019, it is just now being tried and sentenced. Why all the long time for this? They were brought to the law's attention via a tip and had 150 charges or so against them including abusing a minor. This is freaking sick and ridiculous it took so long to come to a resolution. It wasn't just cupcakes either, it was energy drinks - to junior high kids. Some serious issues many of these kids and their parents are now suffering from. I just can't imagine.

Count 15 in the original indictment against the couple alleges the semen was mixed into both the desserts and energy drinks before it was served to victims.

No doubt, the search function isn't great.

This is one of 3.6 million teachers in the US. Please don't judge all of those teachers by one.

Does that seem fair?

We all had our favorite teachers. Some are better than others, like any profession, but most are caring people who love kids. Very few are like this scum.

Under the plea deal, Cynthia had 68 other charges against her dismissed and will have to testify against (her husband] Dennis at his upcoming trial.

Cynthia resigned from Westside Junior High School the day after her arrest, while Dennis was fired from his deputy role at the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Dennis is scheduled to face trial in May on 150 criminal charges.

I don't like this. I don't have a good feeling about this...

That he was a cop says a lot. If he ends up committing suicide in his cell, that will tell us a lot more.

So gross I dont think I want to know anymore. As far as her making a deal... maybe she is throwing him under the bus and saying he did it without her knowing. Anything is possible. How either one can have any credibility is beyond me.

Not bad. She will be 77 if she makes it out. "Sexually abusing a child together" .... thats about as sick as it gets. Truly demonic stuff going on. Hope they have her on suicide watch. He is done for sure.

Wonder what the schools will payout in lawsuits.

Sick thing is the good folks have to pay for everything.

Oh, but, you know ... Catholic Priests, so pretend this is nothing and get outraged over that instead.

There is no excuse and I remain convinced this is why you see so many educators pushing to teach ever younger kids about ever more explicit sex acts. It isn't that they're all predators like this person, but it's that they literally think there is nothing wrong with the idea of kids being exposed to anything and everything at any age.

No worries you’ll be flipping the bill everytime you got paid, your patience is just as essential as your paycheck. It’s your trust in your money taken from you that does the talking. It’s really sick and backwards.

Should be 41 years hard labor. One day's ration of food for one day's quota on the treadwheel.

The Eight Amendment needs some tuning.
